Opera Hotel

Opera Hotel is a pleasant and nicely designed property, beautifully decorated and full of greenery, creating a relaxing atmosphere. At first, I was concerned about the lack of direct beach access. However, Nungwi Beach is only a 5–7 minute walk away, and I eventually appreciated the quieter location away from the busy and crowded beachfront. The room was simply furnished but included a refrigerator, which was important to me. Air conditioning is available. A downside was the frequent Wi-Fi interruptions. It is hard to say whether this is due to hotel management or the general infrastructure on Zanzibar, but guests who rely on stable internet may find it challenging. Breakfast was disappointing. The selection was limited, with no continental options such as cheese or cold cuts, and no bread or pastries as commonly served in Europe. Proper brewed coffee was not included and had to be paid for separately. On a positive note, the staff are exceptionally kind, attentive, and always willing to have a friendly conversation. Overall, my impressions are mixed, but knowing the limitations, I would consider staying here again.

Very nice hotel, well maintained and clean. The breakfast choice was quite limited but you could order your choice of eggs. The A La Carte menu was fantastic, Lobster or crab pasta was delicious and a very big portion as well as very reasonable prices. The only downside is the location which is on the main road and not as easy access to the sea by walking.

It is convenient and easily accessible.

Stop searching for anothers places to stay, Opera Hotel was our most pleasant stay ever: very good restaurant, extremely clean, outstanding service and comfort! With 2 swimming pools also. Just5 to 10 minutes walking to the nicest beaches in Zanzibar!
