When I chose Aana through Expedia, I had surveyed locations around the area by reading and researching. Aana delivered on all its promises. The setting is very rustic as the individual rooms are nestled among well established trees and shrubbery. There are flowers and flowering plants along with a variety of birds to complete the tropical feel. The design of this sprawling resort offers comfort, coziness, and isolation among closely located units. We choose a unit with its own plunge pool/jacuzzi. This is a wonderful treat. The intimacy and privacy offered with this amenity is well worth the additional price point. If you want a much larger version of a pool, there is one on the property. I mentioned the rustic feeling of the setting, and that is evident by the stressed wood that is used to build decking, walkways, etc. Aana is a hidden gem with a charm all its own. There are nooks and crannies within the resort that are wonderful to discover. The daily breakfast buffet offered an outstanding variety of fresh fruits, local and international dishes, and egg and local treats cooking stations. The staff throughout the facility was always friendly, helpful, and extremely courteous. Overall, Aana is clean and comfortable, if a bit slightly worn (our bed). Transportation in and around the facility is provided by local taxis (arranged by the front desk) into town, while a motorized flat or platform boat shuttles you to and from the nearby beach. We plan to return!

We loved our stay. The staff is beautiful. Our villas were lovely and peaceful. The only suggestion I have is to order your scooter early or you might miss getting one that is so conveniently located on the property.

We had a nice stay and enjoyed the friendly service. We especially liked the shuttle service by boat and car for our family. It made getting around super easy. There was a little bit of noise due to renovations going on but they never went on too early or too late.

Our stay was a kind of adventurous. The resort needs a lot of repairs and cleanings. Although it is still feel enchanter nature around and beautiful views. The main pool is ok, the infinite pool is dirty and seems not care. The beds are comfortable and the shower is great. The restaurant area is beautiful, the food is not great. But the breakfast is ok. Good internet. Horrible tv channels. Overall we enjoy the experience.

I visited Aana 5 years ago and returned in Feb 2018. 5 years on and the hotel looked worse for wear. The extensive wood paths and structures needs treatment and overall it look just tired. The Villas are nice but not as spacious as I'd hoped. The enormous bed was great though.It is still a great design with a maze of wooden walk ways and exotic villas. At £115 per night I didn't find it particularly cheap given it only has 3 star facilities. Breakfast is ok but not amazing.

Upon arrival our room was fully Booked so they gave us another one (which we were not happy with). The hotel is beautiful build on stilts, but the restaurant and the bar are almost empty in the evening (pity, because the food is good). During the day it is nice to use kayaks to go to the beach, but in the evening you have to walk quite a bit along the road. There is a little shoo behind the reception which is handy. So our feelings about this hotel are very mixed.

very nice place! looks like real tropical village. our villa was perfect: very nice, clean and you have everything you need for your stay. area is very quite so if you want bars and parties you'll need to go to white sand beach. you have free transfer there twice a day but the problem is the last one coming at 20:00 so if you want to stay longer you need to take taxi home. you have minimart at the hotel but it's pretty expensive. oh and one great tip! when you go for firefly watching just touch the water and you will see magic :)

Beautiful hotel set in gardens next to a river. Shuttle boat and free kayaks to the privat beach. Great pools and nice breakfast. Would definitely come back. It has a unique and relaxing feel to it, unlike many other places on the same beach. There are 2 bars and a few restaurants in walking distance but the surroundings are rather quiet.

Check in. I waited almost an hr to find our booking. They couldnt find it. The resort was fully booked. I PAID IN FULL ADVANCE. It was unprofessional and unpleaseant experience. The front desk staff changes their word everytime we spoke.

The room was a good size and the nearby beach is quiet. There are free kayaks to borrow for the day which are fun. Unfortunately the restaurant and general hotel service are not at an acceptable standard. Avoid eating your evening meal at the hotel. I would advise you to hire scooters for the day (150 - 250 baht) and pop down to the towns to the south which have lots of good options for food. We stayed over NYE and this was a painful drawn out affair. A nice 3 course meal on the beach wits fireworks would suffice.
