- [ ] had three different rooms - room 1 had no AC even though we had paid and booked AC; room 2 was full of damp and mosquitoes; room 3 was manageable. The only reason we stayed was because there were literally no other rooms avaliable on the island. During our stay… [ ] No running water, twice - on the second occasion we had to wait over half an hour for the water to return to shower, making us late for a New Year’s Eve reservation - [ ] No power, twice - [ ] Toilet flush not working - [ ] The host loudly banging on our room door at 12:45am, the middle of the night, to mess around with the toilet as he claimed the toilet fault was causing a pressure loss in the rest of the building - [ ] The host loudly banging on our room door at 7.30am the following morning, to again mess around with the toilet as he claimed the toilet fault was causing a pressure loss in the rest of the building - [ ] Given above, disrupted sleep - [ ] For the duration of our stay the lid of the toilet cistern was completely removed due to the malfunction of the toilet flush. Rather than a change of room, we were made to suffer this unhygienic approach - [ ] It smelt like urine in the shared area just outside of the room - [ ] The host completely ignored our messages on Expedia so we had no way of contacting the host to fix the issues - [ ] The towels provided were like tea towels and stained

A surprisingly excellent stay! Given the price, we had low expectations, but were greeted by a spotlessly clean twin room. The shared shower and toilet facilities were equally spotless, with lukewarm water and decent pressure. The staff were friendly and welcoming. A rooftop seating area, reached by a steep black ladder, made a great spot for morning coffee. We couldn’t fault it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Note that air conditioning incurs an additional charge.

One night - water was hot, location good, lighting poor

Owners were very blaise. Place smelt of wet dog. Front door (which was the side door) was not to be locked to keep mosquitos out. So our rooms were open to the public. But it never felt unsafe as the location is down a side street. Handy shop at the end. Place to park moped. Aircon costs more. As i got to my room they were taking the fridge out of it. The standing fan was not enough to cool the room.

It was suitable. Area was very touristy though. Everyone is aggressively trying to sell you something.
