Overall, a positive experience. The bed was extremely comfortable, and a security guard watched over the parking lot all night. The room decoration was retro, with an 80s vibe. It was a tad out of place in a hotel chain with generally different standards, but I actually quite liked it.

Conveniently located across from Robinson Lifestyle Mae Sot shopping mall, and only 5 km from the airport, Centra Hotel is on the higher end of accommodations in the city. The rooms are spacious but there are issues. The most glaring, I think, is that the AC was not working well. Despite putting the thermostat at or below 20°C, the room never cooled. The large windows cannot be opened. The bathroom lighting was poor, and having a bathtub instead of a shower stall is antiquated. Also, the desk space is limited, and there's a cushion seat instead of a chair, which makes working with a laptop uncomfortable. On the plus side, there's a large swimming pool which is clean and well-maintained. I used app to book, and didn't realize breakfast was an extra cost. That's annoying. Front desk staff was professional and friendly, however. For a business traveler, it's a hit and miss.
