Dan's Koyao Retreat

Paradise, exceptionnal stay. Staff (Sen + housekeeping ladies who also cook breakfast) are wonderful. We even had a Christmas buffet because we were there on DEC. 25!! We had a trip where we needed to leave at 5:45 am and Sen was even there to cook our breakfast!! Way above our expectations!

10/10. Hidden gem and one of the best stays of our trip. The place is gorgeously designed without a lot of nature and flowers on the property. Sin was so helpful teaching us how to ride scooters/bikes. He was also awesome in helping us set up day trip plans and massages. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Wow, what a truly special place. We were so lucky to stay one night here on our trip to the island. The service was incredible, Sin took time to recommend places on the island and make us feel right at home. Its tranquil setting, the sound of running water from the beautiful features, birdsong and wind chimes. Our room was perfect, clean and peaceful. We even had two massage therapists arrive in the morning to massage us on our front decking area. The massages were amazing and to be able to have them right outside your room was so special. We were able to rent a scooter from the property which was very helpful. The breakfast, banana pancakes were simply delicious! A slice of heaven on a beautiful island. Would highly recommend and we will be back! Thank you!

Amazing hidden gem! Not for everybody, but if you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is your place. Excellent service, excellent breakfast prepared to order. Beautiful setting and environment. I can’t say enough great things about the staff. Not for everybody because this is indoor/outdoor living. Kitchen, dining area and several common areas are all open areas. Bedrooms are closed off and air-conditioned. Swimming pool is lovely. Overall amazing!

Loved our stay here! The property is very nice, simple but comfortable, with great views and a nice pool. Breakfast was a treat. Suppasin the manager was amazing, he helped arrange all of our transport and day trips, and provided information about the island. Koh Yao Noi is a very laid-back place and we wish we'd stayed longer. We rented the 2-bedroom family bungalow which was clean and had good air-con in each bedroom. Some reviews of the property mention open bathrooms - the bathrooms in the family bungalow are fully enclosed so there were no jungle critters joining in the shower. The location in the forest is amazing, with lush garden and many hornbills visiting in the trees. A short walk to nice restaurants / cafes.

Pros: gorgeous complex in jungle setting close to the seas. Location is great - very good restaurants within walking distance (By the Sea and Bai Tong are both great). Delicious breakfasts with pancakes, fruit, cereal, eggs, yogurt or a Thai breakfast. Long pool to cool off or even swim. Room is large with enough storage space. AC, ceiling fan and dehumidifier worked well to keep room cool. Bedding was comfortable and you can request mattress toppers and different types of pillows. Bathroom area is "outside" - windows in shower and sink area are open. Toilet area is somewhat enclosed. The 2nd bedroom is opposite the sink area and is quite small so best for small children. There is a spa room with tub and lounge area beyond the main shower/toilet. Best of all was Suppasinj who made sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Cons: Pool table is located above bedroom (poor sound insulation when people are playing); TV satellite not working; some of the furniture is a little worn.

What a delightful little place to stay in Ko Yao Noi. We loved it here and was a short walk to some great restaurants (try ‘By the Sea’ - wonderful food) We would thoroughly recommend it if you choose to stay in KYN. Suppasinj was an amazing host organising two great trips for us.

We loved our stay at Dan's. It is the perfect place to stay on Koh Yao Noi. Sin and the staff are so pleasant and friendly and will help you any questions you may have such as arranging transport or places to go. The island itself is magical. Thank you Sin.

What an amazing place! Utterly beautiful and perfect in every way. The staff were fantastic and so helpful and knowledgeable. We had the best family holiday.

By far our best stay in Thailand, strongly recommend it! Both amenities and staff are amazing. One couldn't hope for a more friendly and helpful host as Sin. He was always available, always willing to help and very importantly always smiling. He took care of us as we were family and we felt very welcomed. The property itself is stunning, surrounded by nature and with and amazing sea view and infinity pool. Free hotel scooter and fresh breakfast everyday were a nice surprise. In one of our evenings, Sin also made a fresh seafood barbecue only for us which was truly unforgettable experience. Really hope to come back to Dan's Retreat and to meet Sin again.

We were looking for the perfect tropical island, a paradise with few tourists and village-life. We finally found what we were looking for in Koh Yao Noi. The locals of Koh Yao Noi were some of the friendliest we had come across in Thailand. For a country that’s full of welcoming, warm people, that’s really saying something. Then it was Dan’s Koyao Retreat and the great host. Sin and the ladies took such a great care of us. It felt like we were staying in a home. Luckily we were alone during our stay. They offer three villas tucked away in the greenery, a private pool with a fantastic view and is visited by all kinds of birds, including hornbills. There are a handful of great restaurants and a beach at walking distance, and scooters and bikes are provided to explore the rest of the island. Service includes breakfast and afternoon tea, and they can organize fantastic massages, other meals and activities on request. We travel a lot and this is the best place we´ve ever stayed at. We will never forget the sunrise, the sounds and the views, the atmosphere and the warm hospitality. We will be back.

Dan’s Koyao is a hidden gem of a property. The house, paired with the best host (Suppasin) one could ask for, time at Dan’s Koyao Retreat is worthwhile. Suppasin will make sure you get the most authentic Ko Yao Noi experience during your stay. If you are on vacation to relax, he has great connections to bring experiences on to the property, like Thai massages and a fresh fish dinner in. If you are looking to explore, Suppasin has even more recommendations for great views and food, all while cruising around the island on one of the house’s personal scooters. This is a must book property!

Best breakfast in Thailand! Nice and kind staff. The rooms( family) were simple, but clean and cold. The view was amazing. We would love to come back!

We had an amazing stay at the retreat! Sin and the team were so kind and welcoming, and the service was incredible. Sin gave us a lot of great reccomendations for activities to do around the island. We booked the private five island boat trip, and could not reccomend it enough! The retreat is situated right next to the jungle and it is really peaceful, but still close to the beach and many resturants. The breakfast was prepared for us every morning, with fresh fruit, homemade yoghurt, eggs and pancakes. The staff also made snacks for us the days we spent next to the pool. This was our favorite stay in Thailand so far, and we really didn’t want to leave!

Diese Unterkunft ist wunderschön eingebettet in den Regenwald, am Rande eines süßen Ortes an der Ostküste. Sin führt das Resort sehr liebevoll, mit viel Spaß und Aufmerksamkeit und hat viele tolle Tipps! Das Frühstück ist großartig! Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen!
