Generally good property, pool could benefit from some modernisation. Room was modern, pillows were very uncomfortable and the pull out bed was not of good quality. An improved English language TV selection would also be welcome.

Fantastic views and beachfront location. Lovely staff. Decent breakfast (go early). I chose a “classic” room and was disappointed only with the bed, which seemed a bit worse for wear. The balcony was fantastic and the bath quite nice. The WiFi was unreliable, and the elevator once refused to go down. Overall a pleasant stay with minor annoyances. If beachfront is a must it’s a decent choice. I will note that I extended my stay in a nearby hotel with excellent WiFi and lovely new rooms, for a small fraction of the price. However I did give up the views and had to walk to the beach.

There was a sewage smell in the entire lobby level, including the breakfast area and GingerFire restaurant. The smell was very unpleasant and disgusting while dining. The lunch menu of Ginger Fire is very limited. For example, almost every dish comes with rice or rice noodle. It makes it very hard for a group of 3 or more to share dishes together because you would end with eating pineapple rice with a Phat Thai. The dinner menu is better and should be open for lunch as well.

The hotel is nice but it is old. It doesn't look like the pics shown online, specially on the outdoor areas. Actually they are renovating part of the building and you can hear the construction noises during the day. The service was great.
