As a family hotel, I enjoyed my stay at Melia Chiang Mai as a couple. We upgraded to a Level suit and found the amenities worth it. The best part was the daily happy hour but you can also have breakfast with much better quality of food than found in the buffet. The location is quite walkable and near the night market and the old city but also a lot of great local restaurants and cafes. The food in the northern Thailand is amazing and you will never run out of options. The pool is amazing and they have great pool service but unfortunately, even though there is a kids pool, it does get over run with children. It would be great if there was an adults only or a Level pool for upgraded guests who prefer a quieter environment. The hotel staff were so warm and friendly, I need to give a shout out to Mos, who really made my visit feel as though I was appreciated at all times. Other highlights of the hotel is they make their own Kombucha that can be purchased at the bar. We did have a small issue with a leak from the air conditioner but the hotel sent a service man up ASAP and the issue never occurred again for the rest of our stay. I would definitely make a return visit next time I travel north in Thailand.

Minor criticism: at breakfast (which was very good), the coffee machines didn’t seem able to make hot coffee (though once mentioned we had hot coffees made especially for us).

My partner and I spent 9 nights here at the end of June, and everything about our stay was exceptional. From the moment we arrived to the moment we (reluctantly) checked out, we were treated with such genuine care, professionalism, and attention to detail.
The service was absolutely top-tier across the board—from housekeeping, pool staff, and restaurant teams to the doormen and security. Every single interaction felt warm, seamless, and thoughtful. It’s rare to find a hotel where every staff member takes so much pride in their role, and it shows.
Our room was spotless, modern, and extremely comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with stunning rooftop views, a relaxing pool area, and a calm, elevated atmosphere throughout. We genuinely looked forward to coming “home” to Melia each day.

Checked in Melia Chiang Mai, when we opened the door and entered the room, we could only describe it as "Wow"! The space is spacious and comfortable, and the interior is clean and tidy! The surrounding environment is also quite quiet, and there is a night market nearby, which is very convenient!
We dined in the restaurant twice, once at noon and once during happy hour, and the service was very friendly! I believe we will come back to stay again!

very nice staff, willing to help and even share recommended restaurant that serve authentic southern Thai food. The room was very clean and quiet, didn’t hear any of our neighbors. Staff was very quick acting when I left my phone in the car, they used their walker talkie to help stop the taxi from driving away because my phone fell on the seat! went above and beyond!

A 5 star oasis in Chiang Mai with wonderful facilities and staff. It’s right beside the night market. Only negatives were the less than ideal lighting in the parking lot and the temperature on the floor hallways. Both issues were being addressed after I sent them feedback.

The staff here are well trained and most of them know english, which is huge. Breakfast is amazing. I didn’t like the prices of food and the cost of the draft beers I had. Would I go back? Yes, as it’s a wonderful place.

very nice staff, willing to help and even share recommended restaurant that serve authentic southern Thai food. The room was very clean and quiet, didn’t hear any of our neighbors. Staff was very quick acting when I left my phone in the car, they used their walker talkie to help stop the taxi from driving away because my phone fell on the seat! went above and beyond!

I loved staying here! The hotel was perfectly located, giving me easy access to everything. I felt very safe throughout my trip and had an amazing time exploring the city. Being so close to the markets and experiencing the nightlife made it even more special. Thailand is absolutely beautiful, and I especially loved staying at this hotel during my time in Chiang Mai.

A 5 star oasis in Chiang Mai with wonderful facilities and staff. It’s right beside the night market. Only negatives were the less than ideal lighting in the parking lot and the temperature on the floor hallways. Both issues were being addressed after I sent them feedback.
