Brilliant hotel. Rooms were authentic, but with all modern needs. We stayed in a normal room and it was huge. The breakfast was good quality but the buffet area seemed a bit claustrophobic. Having the hotel on the beach is a great perk. With beach bar having great food and the staff are very attentive.

Nice landscaping, quiet villas among lush greenery, lots of food and massage options nearby. We booked a suite with private pool, garden view, and had the feeling of complete privacy. Breakfast and service very nice.Only downsides were unreluable Wifi and moody AC. Room was spacious enough but wardrobe, shower, bathtub and toilet are all within the same space, no doors between them, and poorly isolated from rest of the room.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, its is an older resort but is very well maintained, more traditional Thai. Comfortable bed, Staff fantastic, good selection at breakfast the fresh juice was great. We had our own pool which was nice to cool off in after being at the beach all day, just needs some kind of rail to make it easier to get in and out of. The beach area is very clean with lovely soft sand but easy for walking. Close to other restaurants and bars. After check out we were able to spend more time at the beach they provide toilet and showers where we could shower and change before moving on to our next hotel. We would stay here again. Value for money.

My husband and I stayed at Royal Muang Villas for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. From the spacious room and comfortable bed, to the accommodating and friendly staff, great pool and beach area and a lot of food options, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The resort was even better than in looked in the photos in our opinion. Highly recommend

Check in takes to long, after 12 hours of flights we had nearly an hour after we arrived at hotel till we had our bags delivered to our room so we could relax. We then found we had no hot water. We then went to swim in our splash pool - spa jets were broken. Had a swim anyway - nearly cut my foot open on a broken filter grate on the bottom of the pool. Floor boards in bathroom area moved which caused a nail to rise up - put a bandaid over it so we didn't cut our feet. Room safe didn't work properly, had to enter code around 10 times each way to lock or unlock. A burger ring under our desk from a previous guest still there when we left. Rock slabs used for pathways near beach would move when stepped on, warned about them by a staff member but never fixed the issue. On the 5th day our pool went a shade of green, I assume as we had not seen any filters had come on for a couple of days. Then for a grand finale, on our last day we went for swim after lunch, shortly after going back into our room there was a loud crash outside. Upon investigating we found a lump of CONCRETE the size of a loaf of bread had broken off the second floor villa. It hit the tiled awning above our pool then landed on the edge our pool and exploded sending pieces of tile and concrete into and around our pool, the largest was about the size of a rock melon which landed in the pool where my wife and I had been swimming. Staff called, looked, said sorry and blamed a squirrel. Overpriced, dangerous, rundown
