⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely unforgettable stay – true Bangkok hospitality at its finest I had the most wonderful stay at Shanghai Mansion Bangkok, and I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Paula, Richard, and another lovely team member whose name I believe begins with a “P” went above and beyond to make me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Their warmth, attentiveness, and kindness made this stay feel incredibly special. I was unexpectedly upgraded to a beautiful, spacious suite that felt far larger and more luxurious than what I had booked — such a generous and thoughtful surprise. To make it even more magical, I arrived to find “Happy Birthday” beautifully arranged on the bed, a towel cake tower, and cupcakes waiting for me. It was such a touching gesture and made my birthday feel truly celebrated. Every interaction with the staff was a pleasure — nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and the level of care and attention to detail was outstanding throughout my stay. The atmosphere, service, and genuine hospitality here are exactly what make travel experiences unforgettable. Thank you to the entire Shanghai Mansion team for creating such a memorable experience. I will absolutely be returning and recommending this hotel to everyone I know visiting Bangkok. ✨💛

Good location, nice room with Chinese ambient and good amenities

The best part about this hotel is the location! It’s right at the beginning of the main road into China town and close to a ton of great places to eat and drink! I would give the hotel 5 stars, but I took off a star because our room was on the second floor by the big pond, and it seemed like we had bugs/mosquitoes in our room. There weren’t a ton but I probably killed one or two each day. Additionally, our room was very dark and had no outside facing windows. The only windows we had were facing the inside of the hotel and because of the lack of privacy we always kept the blinds shut. All in all though I do recommend the hotel and would stay again! It was clean and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful!

The staff was amazing. Courteous, attentive, and with a super pleasant demeanor. The room was also perfect: big enough, super comfortable, quiet, and beautifully decorated. Also a fantastic value, in my opinion.

Great location in the heart of Chinatown. Beautiful room with classic decor. Windowless room was a bit disconcerting. Great staff and clean.

Have stayed here many times, excellent hospitality very clean beautiful rooms, live music every night and the atmosphere is amazing Just a few minutes from the market and the river boats and the MRT underground with easy links to airport and railway station. Very colourful and historic building.

Great hotel right in China Town. Easy access to food vendors. The hotel itself is really nice and unique.

We loved the Shanghai Mansion for its original. Chinese style and decor. The staff were all very good, the room was clean and tidy with a fridge and excellent AC and a very comfortable bed. The ground floor bar was lively and had great music, food and drink. The rooms were quiet and we slept great. The hotel is well positioned to explore China Town and close to the river taxi and MRT. The area comes alive at night with all manor of seafood and Thai delights. For the money this was an excellent place to kick off our Thai adventure. It is not super luxury and certainly not the conformity of an international chain hotel but for us it was perfect.

Great experience here, this hotel has been on my list for over a decade and it did not disappoint. Incredibly friendly staff, we loved our room, very spacious, quiet and lovely. The rooms are impeccably clean and all the amenities you need are on hand . I can not recommend this hotel enough. I will stay here again for sure, and a big thank you to the amazing staff at Shanghai Mansion

Nice hotel

If you are looking for the ultimate day/night foodie experience, this is the hotel for you. The room was not as spacious as seen in the images but I believe I did not get the room I booked. Old fashion style environment very quiet but rooms are still using keys to lock. All in all was a decent experience but not the romantic place I thought I imagined to be.

I always love staying at the Shanghai Mansion in Bangkok. It's such a funky building with stunning decor located in the heart of Chinatown. This time I booked a suite which was huge with a fantastic bathtub. The only downside was that it was on the 1st floor and the soundproofing is not good so I could quite clearly hear the music coming from the bar in the evenings. Next time I will book a lower grade room but higher up in the building. But will always stay here when in Bangkok.
