Connected with music, it helped me to reconnected with it and with the people. I enjoyed every moment here with the staff and the client. You can express yourself trough arts freely and the hostel shows respect for animals; it is vegan. Don't judge a book by his cover, the hostel may look weird and trash with his grafity and his 100baht fee, but it is really a lot more than what i expected.

I only had 2 nights at The Overstay, but I wish it could have been longer. The staff were super friendly and treated you like family. The place itself was amazing, absolutely covered in art and murals. Everywhere you looked there was something new to take in. It's not fancy in any sense but is down to earth and relaxing. It's not for everyone, but if you want to share a few nights in a great atmosphere with some amazing people I highly recommend it. :) Can't wait to come back next time I'm in Bangkok!

The property was horrible. I reserved a room with a bed. An I arrived to a dormitory bed set up with men and woman in the same room. The safety and cleanliness are a major concern at this property. I asked for a refund and they laughed and refused any refund. Better to stay on the street then stay here. I left.

If you're looking for a group of quirky, eccentric people to hang out with, this is the spot for you!! If you're planning to do a bunch of tours, none will pickup from this hotel so budget in $5-10/tour to get to the city center. Also, the beds were horribly uncomfortable, like "sheets of dry wall on stilts", so unless you can sleep on anything, wouldn't recommend staying for more than a couple days.

Nothing on the posting was actually avaible,the place was dirty with animal feceson the inside. The gym or fitness area was really just a broken machine. The rooftop bar was no where to be found. And the shared kitchen was for vegaterian food only. The staff were rude and very unacommidating just didnt care. I would not recommed this place to anyone. And if you book and change your mind i would get a refund before tour leave as they will not keep their word and return the money afterwards.

The place was unique with graffiti and stuff but it was too loud and too dirty. The toilets are disgusting and messy and the room that I have stayed in was awful. Broken window, poor lightening and broken door. I felt like it was a waste of time and money.

The Overstay is a hostel, art space, and venue, a beautiful hotbed of community and good times. We had a spacious room large enough for a dance party, with great natural light, a stereo, and AC. We saw a few shows and cooked many meals at the Overstay. We felt truly at home in this space. It was always such a joy just poring over the art on every wall, reading some books from the free pile, or just chatting with the numerous other guests in the bar conveniently located downstairs. The hostel was close to many bus lines making it easy to get anywhere, as well as a supermarket, a few malls, and many street stalls. We miss you all at the Overstay already. -Pangea
