AC Hotel Kansas City Plaza

Great location. Plenty of good food and drinks within walking distance. Hotel & room were exceptionally clean. Will stay here again on our next weekend in KC.

Super nice area around the hotel, great environment

Stay was good overall. Concierge was able to address our issues in a respectful manner. However, check in was a bit difficult because there was no parking and no sign for check in. It was clean on day 1 but when we got back to the hotel midday on day 2, electricity was out. So we stayed out but when we got back, our room was full of bugs by the sink and bathroom area so we asked for a change of rooms but they only had 2 full beds left. Also not a fan of the order of their bed sheets. I always thought the flat sheet is what touches your body, not the actual comforter. We usually like to stay at AC Hotel but not sure if this is a one-off situation.

Clean & quiet

Shower is inconvenient and dangerous, no window in room you can look out, vinyl plank floor in room damaged pretty badly. Steps in guest corridor is awful dragging bags up.

The guest room finishes did not hold up. The vinyl plank floor is worn around the edges from buckling. Also room I was in did not have a window you could look out. Frosted glass. Awful when you want to see what king of day it is.

Staff was very friendly. The location is ideal to walk to many places.

Great place to stay. I will say the walls are pretty thin so you can hear almost anything. I didn’t love the fact that I also had to pay for parking but I think that’s a theme nowadays. Overall, great hotel in a good location. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance

Floor wasn’t swept well.

Tha bathtub drain has lots of hair. Otherwise GREAT property.

My stay at the AC Hotel Kansas City Plaza from May 9 to May 12, 2025, was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. First, on May 10, the air conditioning failed throughout the hotel. With temperatures in the 80s, our room (#320) was stuck at an unbearable 76 degrees, which made it impossible for my fiancé and me to sleep comfortably. Despite bringing this to the staff’s attention, nothing meaningful was done. Then, the situation escalated on the morning of May 12, when I woke up early due to the heat and saw a bedbug crawling on my pillow. I recorded it on video and immediately showed it to hotel staff. Shockingly, they did absolutely nothing. We had to leave the room and sit in the hallway at 7:00 AM because it was no longer safe or sanitary to stay there. To make matters worse, the manager was rude, condescending, and hostile when I followed up. She lied and told me pest control had cleared the room and found no bedbugs—even though both my fiancé and I physically saw the bug and recorded it. Despite claiming the room was negative, she refused to return my AirPods, which I accidentally left behind in our rush to leave due to the bedbugs and lack of urgency from hotel staff. I called to retrieve my property, and she contradicted herself, saying the room was on lockdown awaiting pest control clearance. I pointed out her own contradiction, and only after I threatened to bring police did she agree to return my belongings. During the call, she repeatedly talked over me, gasl

Wonderful stay.

We liked the location of the hotel, and it was Modern and clean. However, the hotel charged for parking in an outside parking lot and also for a continental breakfast in the morning, which we did not like. The hotel room did not have soap when we arrived And they weren’t able to get it to us until the next day so they weren’t together on that. But the staff was nice.

Staff was super friendly and helpful

The property is in a great location. It is walkable and convenient for dining and some shopping. The shower was partially broken, but it was still usable. This should have been repaired beforehand or checked. The reviews I read before checking in were terrible, but we still decided to stay. Overall, it was okay and checked the basic boxes of what we required in our stay.

The room was ok. The hallways were very dark and the carpet had visible stains. The noise from the hallways were very loud. The flooring in my room had lifted in several places and was sharp in the path towards the bed from the door. The breakfast cost $9.99 and left a lot to be desired. Very few options (some meats and cheese, a small selection of bread, and a very small table off to the side with eggs and potatoes. I did inform the front desk regarding the lifted and sharp flooring.

Lovely and accommodating

Check in was quick and efficient. Customer service was amazing! This was a perfect location with easy walkability to several dining options and a nearby concert venue.
