The staff, extraordinary!!!! Every front desk and doorman and housekeeper, they were all absolutely amazing and quickly became extended friends. The hotel is locked 24/7 with staff always at the desk. It truly was a feeling of being at home as the room was a great apartment setting. The location was perfect for walking to many things. We met lots of returning guests and plan to return as well.

Brilliant location, could see the ball drop from our living room, which was exciting. The staff are all so friendly, would highly recommend staying here. The location is obviously brilliant, but the convenience of having a kitchen and laundry when away for an extended period of time can not be understated.

enjoyed my stay. Room clean a little work on the kitchen cabinets and the bathroom door but overall nice. Modern decor comfortable. Location was amazing could walk to many things. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again. A small note if you upgrade make sure you look at the fee which is in addition to the new rate, I was disappointed by that because I was not info there was a fee to upgrade the room.

Great location, 30 seconds from Times Square, perfect for a four day tourist visit. Superbly clean and modern, staff always friendly. Two bedroom suite was a good size and well-equipped. It worked really well for a family of four as a quiet refuge after the long hot days of NYC tourism. Only minor downsides to note were it was very dark with no views at all, but that is not uncommon in NYC and the upside of that is there was no street noise at all in our suite. I prefer silence over views. The other oddity is the 'Terrace' which exists, but was completely empty of anything (no chairs) and they don't have a rooftop bar either, despite the website talking about both and there being signs inside to both. They should either use it, or turn it into rooms. That said there's not a shortage of bars nearby. I would stay again and recommend.

Brilliant location, fantastic suite, really friendly and helpful staff, we were upgraded due to us celebrating my husbands 50th birthday and there was also a bottle of prosseco chilling in the fridge for us with a birthday card. These little touches all made for a fantastic stay. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in New York now.

Our experience at AKA Times Square was excellent. The superb service, accommodations, and location helped make our visit to NYC a great experience. We appreciated the location in the theater district, convenient to activities, restaurants, and shops, yet far enough from Times Square that the street was not busy or loud. Subway access was just 2 blocks away. The suite was comfortable, nicely appointed, and quite spacious with a separate bedroom. It was nice to have the full kitchen for breakfast and late night snacks. BEAUTIFUL lounge. Parking deck conveniently located across the street. Highly recommend!

This hotel had a very excellent location and a great urban yet welcoming vibe. We were always greeted by the staff with smiles. They have a chill lounge upstairs that is a quiet retreat if you need to escape the kinetic Times Square/Theater district energy. We loved how we could walk to our theater the night of the big show. Highly recommended!

Terrible service at checkin, bad attitude from front desk staff Danzel, not even greeting you with a smile or Hi! After home, found out they charge me again even though I have already fully paid when booking through hotels.com. Still getting the problem solved through my banks and AKA!!! Emailed AKA and they aren’t helpful at all in resolving the problem. The apartment is old and tired. The bed frame is broken in one of the bedroom, with mattress almost 10inches smaller than the bed frame. The airconditioner is not working during the entire stay, they provided a fan!! The lights along the kitchen aren’t working, reported it to the technical staff on duty, never fixed during the 7nights stay!

We were impressed by the size of the room for the rate charged and the consistent congeniality of the desk staff. The hotel is nicely located half a block from Times Square and easy walking distance to theatres and restaurants. There is a Whole Foods five minutes away to stock up on food for eating in, and the room has a full-sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, and washer and dryer. Direct tv gives access to wide range of programming. Room was clean, shower great, and beds comfortable. As in all NYC hotels I’ve ever stayed in, you will hear some street sounds, but they did not disturb our sleep. Staff was very attendant to our needs.

Great location, in the centre of all the action. Friendly, helpful staff to greet you (and when/if needed), but also left to your own devices. We stayed in a studio and it had everything you could need, nice & spacious, washing machine & tumble dryer (used), while kitchen (partly used), separate 'office space' where we stored all of our shopping! Only slight downside (although it didn't bother us at all) is that the street noise can be quite loud, but it's to be expected in the heart of the city. The area also felt very safe. Would definitely return!
