Best Western Louisville South / Shepherdsville

The cleanliness of our room was not up to expectations. The coffee maker still had a used filter in it. The room smelled musty and was damp with a group of about 20 ants crawling on the nightstand. The window blind didn’t work and was stuck halfway down the window with lamppost shining into our room at nighttime. The maintenance man couldn’t arrive for 45 minutes and they said if he can’t fix it that he would cover it with a blanket. We needed to get some rest before our travels so I offered to put up the blanket myself so they gave us a comforter to cover the window. We also didn’t have a blo dryer and the front desk didn’t have one. One positive was the breakfast in the morning was good with a variety of food items.

The staff was very friendly. The elevator is scary. The breakfast was okay, but considering the cost of the hotel, the overall value was good.

Big room, excellent sleep on amazing mattress and linens, good quality of towels and absolutely loved the 2 different window shades

The pool was closed the entire weekend, which disappointed my kids.

Upon arrival the staff was very nice,we were told about the pool not being open and options we had. We had an issue with the hair dyer not working and need more towels and she was quick to help with it all. The rooms looks nice we did a bed check didn’t see any bedbugs. The tv and WiFi don’t work can’t connect The tv to Netflix or stream ur phone like it says. Tried to call desk twice no answer. Breakfast was ok but limited we went down at 7:45 and they had a written menu but quite a few thing that they wrote were nowhere to be seen we asked about them and was told no more for the day, breakfast ends at 9. While making a waffle the power went out to half the breakfast

Could be a nice hotel,big rooms, good breakfast but they need to do more work to keep things working. The elevator is slow and the motor make a funny noise,the curtais in our rooms got stuck and could open,they need some painting touchups.

The hotel has a gas grill. We cooked hamburgers, hotdogs, brats. We hada regular community cook out.

There was a weird smell in the hallways. And then the elevator smelled like some internal part was burning due to friction, so I only risked riding it once more at checkout while carrying luggage. First night taking a shower, the towel rack fell off the wall. Housekeeping didn’t make my bed once in three nights. If the A/C wasn’t maxed out, the room quickly became humid, so my options were frigid or sticky. And the rooms aren’t soundproof, so I listened to kids running around on the floor above until their bedtime. If you must stay here, I recommend that you pick a room on the top floor if the option is presented.

Our room was large and clean, with functional ac, quiet, and easy parking.
