Carpet smells so bad there is stains on carpet

A no-nonsense hotel with a wonderful staff. Tremendous value.

The location was great for us. So convenient to the event center. We used uber to go everywhere. No public transportation that was convenient. The breakfast was great! The kitchen staff was great and friendly. The front desk staff was helpful except one young lady who did not seem to care about anything or willing to help answer questions. The room was ok. But it smelled and the furniture everywhere in the hotel was old and stained or just worn out. For the price we paid I would have rather paid 20.00/night more and stayed where there is a lounge and nice gathering area. We have stayed at a lot of comfort inns, this one was a disappointment to say the least.

My room was fine but the hallway was musty and the carpet was gross. The place needs some brightening up.

The staff was super friendly. The pool was a little chilly, so we didn’t stay long. The breakfast was great, the bed was very comfortable. The proximity to the Iowa Event Center was amazing. The parking was big big enough for our big pickup.

Easy access to other venues

Hallways looked to be middle of construction. Found a bug in room that looked like a tick. Room seemed to have a layer of dust.

The building was very close to the freeway.

Staff are very friendly. Everything was clean but could use some updating throughout! Breakfast was your typical continental with a few hot options that rotated during our stay. Beds are ok, they have tried to add mattress toppers but are still very firm.

Front desk staff were very friendly. Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. We slept very well because the location of the hotel was very quiet. Hot breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choices for breakfast from cereals to pancakes.

Like a horror movie... but with worse plumbing. If you're ever curious what it's like to survive a night in a post-apocalyptic motel, look no further! The lobby lures you in with false hope — it's clean, well-lit, and borderline respectable. But once you step into your room? Welcome to Nope-ville. The toilet seat was hanging on for dear life, the water took so long to heat up laged a full decade waiting, and the shower pressure? Imagine being gently spit on by a dehydrated chipmunk. There was mold thriving on the bathroom pipes like it paid rent. The shower curtain was absurdly long - like it moonlights as a red carpet - and somehow refused to stay shut. A fun combo of tripping and flooding! Bonus: I'm 98% sure I saw blood on the wall. Whose? I don't want to know. Sleep? Not unless you enjoy the sound of doors being slammed every 45 seconds until 4 a.m. - it was like a community sport. The one highlight? The bed. That thing was glorious. I don't know how it ended up in this motel - maybe it got lost on the way to a luxury suite — but it deserves better. Honestly, I wanted to apologize to it on my way out. Stay here only if you love disappointment, mildew, and mystery stains. Otherwise, run.
