DoubleTree by Hilton New York Times Square South

Nice room, clean. It was exactly what we wanted/needed. Beautiful rooftop bar/lounge. We were out of the hotel most of the time so we didn’t want anything crazy. Staff was friendly and attentive. 10/10 would definitely recommend this property

The rooftop allows a great view of a part of Manhattan.

Great location near the train station. Restaurant and rooftop bar on site. Roo. Has a gorgeous idw of Empire State Building. Friendly staff

Never got resolved for the property renting a room that does not exist , worse i even paid more for the nonexistent room

Started out requesting high floor. But of course it’s never promised and got the 11th floor out of 30 and he acted like he was doing me a favor. Great view of the building next door. Windows and walls super thin. Could hear anyone and everyone. Ac stopped working the 1st day. Was sooo hot but couldn’t move rooms. Had to keep “fixing it”. Room had so many cracks and broken things. Shade over the window was in shreds on the sides. Toilet had cracks on the top, shower had cracks in the floor. Lamp was broken. Outlets had broken covers. For paying &”$700 for 2 days this is not what you would expect. About an hour after we checked in room service knocked on the door once then just walked in and acted surprised that we were in the room. Very odd. Asked the front desk but of course they didn’t have a clue. Not even 2 hours later someone was banging on our door telling room service but by the time we for to the door they were gone. But of course they would not resolve anything because we booked through Expedia. We will never stay here again. Expedia needs to do something about this!!

THE STAFF AT THE HOTEL WAS PHENOMENAL. ESPECIALLY CRYSTAL AND RACHID. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL

This is our 5th timing staying here and won’t be our last. The staff is great and the location is close to everything you would want to do in NYC. Can’t wait to come back!

Great Hotel. We were happy with the property and location. Super clean and staff was friendly. Rooms were small, but that was no surprise and exactly what we expected in NYC. Would definitely stay here again.

Room size is small for two people

Hotel room was clean but very tiny. Maybe I could ask for a bigger room since we are a family of 4 and barely fit into the room. That is on me, but be aware if you are more than two travelers. Check in/ out smooth no hassles at all. They have a text message service that you ask for whatever you need, from towels to a/c troubleshooting and the response is fairly quick. In general for a city hotel it was good enough.

Perfect location!! Flew into Laguardia, caught the subway to Penn Station, and walked a few blocks to the hotel. We were greeted at check-in with the delicious, warm Doubletree cookies!! Typical, compact NYC room with comfortable beds, a view of the city, and refrig. Water and ice on alternating floors. Walked (through Times Square) to 5th Ave for shopping, walked to Broadway for Othello, walked to The High Line, and walked to various restaurants. The staff gladly stored our luggage as we ventured over to Dominic

Great location next to Penn Station

My overall day was OK. The only thing that I didn’t appreciate was being charged for two waters after me and my daughter was stuck in the elevator for five minutes.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and the housekeeping was also excellent!

Our visit was okay. We were in town to see our son graduate from college. The room was incredibly tiny, which I know is very New York but this was so tight I almost couldn't get around the bed. Especially with all four suitcases in the room. We were not told that we had to order housekeeping so nobody ever came for the first 2 days. When we did order housekeeping twice they came so late that one time we had to cancel it and the other time we had to leave the hotel room so they could clean. The lobby is so tiny. You have to almost stand in line to get to the elevator. Vue 180 on the rooftop was fun. It has great views. We were going to sit and have a drink but then saw that the limes had been fitting out and had turned brown. So we left. The location is fine, what you would expect for the area. I guess I just feel a little disappointed. We probably won't stay here again.

Very convenient location, only 5 min walking to Amtrak station. Room was clean and well organized.

Great property, but the rooms are a little cramped so maybe not the right option for longer stay or a family with a lot of luggage. But other than this, great stay, amazing customer service, great view. I got a room in the 20th floor facing the city.
