great,always stay here

We waited an hour and a half past check in time, no apology or credit or anything. When we finally got to the room it reeked like wet dog. Breakfast was well stocked but tables were dirty, chairs and couches stained.

The only thing that wasn't great was breakfast.

Front desk service was absolutely horrible. Selective professionalism. Caucasian auditor extremely impatient with stealth rudeness. The African American auditors (with the exception of the small one who was sweet) were rude-per usual-to other African American guests. Show your true colors when you interview so guests will want to return. Rooms were filthy and felt dirty. Parking fee of $20 per night is rip-off. I parked on the street one night but was still charged for two nights AFTER we checked out with no prior knowledge. Please retrain your staff and clean the walls and sinks in your room. My flesh crawled the entire time. Can’t say it enough-WORST DESK STAFF EVER.

The front desk professionals were kind, helpful, and professional. The hotel was very clean. Housekeeping was professional. Overall very good experience!

We had a great stay! There was a very bad thunderstorm when we arrived and the power kept going out and shutting their system down! The employees handled it with grace and were super nice and friendly!

We chose this property for the proximity to Children's Hospital. We asked for a room with a tub because we have little ones but were given one with only a shower. When we arrived I was told that the room we booked didn't come with a tub even though it was requested at booking. The front desk clerk was very dismissive with me when I asked for a room change and told me they had none available. The phone in room 449 had a bad chord and wouldn't work. Then we were awakened at midnight with loud banging and arguing in the room above us. This was not a good choice considering we were traveling with toddlers and had to be at the hospital by 8 for a procedure. We won't be back.

Hotel was very close to UAB. Staff was absolutely awesome. Will stay here again when I have to come back to the hospital! The hotel earned their 5 star rating!💕

The front desk was very helpful with me and my mom. We are both handicapp and I forgot the lady name but she was an Angel❤️

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel because upon my check in process the hotel receptionist was SO delightful. She was friendly and kind. Our room was clean and comfortable. I always appreciate breakfast but those buttermilk biscuits were phenomenal. My overall experience was great. I would have preferred not to pay $20 for parking but it was expected because the property is located downtown.

Even though it was booked with a 3rd party the parking fee was not disclosed until I checked out. I showed the attendant that the wording did not disclose parking fee. She understood and was willing to adjust my pricing but the manager stopped her and told her not to do it saying I should have called the property for all their fees or booked directly with them and that way I would have have been aware. Saying they are not responsible for what wasn’t disclosed because I booked through a 3rd party. The garbage cans outside were always overflowing with trash and the room was dim from having no working light on the lamps. Overall I am sure I could have done much better for $485.00 for 2 nights.
