Paramount Times Square

Convenient location. We were placed on a handicap room which we did not request. The shower wa very inconvenient because there is no way to contain the water. Very poor design. No working outlet to plug in the hairdrier in the bathroom and no shelf to place toiletries.

Great location and dining. Also theaters.

Thermostat broken. First room tiny for the money. Bathtub fixture btoken. Last morning, no elevators wotking

We stayed at the Paramount last year and it was one of the worst hotel experiences ever...from a bad / horrible front desk staff to a room where the airconditioner didn't work, or the TV, etc. etc. etc. It was bad enough to make my unflappable girlfriend CRY. Hence I knew when I booked the room this time why the hotel room rate was essentially one of the absolute lowest in New York City for this area but I booked the room anyway (to my initial dismay) as my stay was held over a few more days and I didn't want to spend too much and rooms in New York at this time of year are very expensive. However, I will say that this time I was pleasantly surprised. Hallelujah! The Angels sing! The front desk staff were very nice, as were the bellman, they put me in a slightly larger room (as the rooms are very very small!), and so to my happy surprise this was a much much better visit, the air conditioner worked and they didn't need to move our room and then fib to us as they did last time about having maintenance come to fix things they didn't. And the best thing about the Paramount is LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION, and this is a prime location, just down a block from Time Square and directly opposite the theatre playing Hamilton and also Smash. So...as I said I was pleasantly surprised this visit, and the slightly larger room, albeit still very small, was much better. So....wanted to share this.

Great location, good ambiance excellent reception staff

The room smelled strongly of bleach and was not clean. The sheets looked dirty, and there were several small hairs on the sheets when I pulled back the comforter. I left the hotel and booked a room at a different property.

Small small small room with a closet with 2 drawers. Very limited space to unpack anything. No drawers in "desk" which was a narrow piece of lucite. Uncomfortable chair. Bathroom looked nice but no washcloths. If a couple stayed there they'd probably have to put their suitcases in the bathtub. The shower was surprisingly strong and hot but nozzle fixed and unadjustable. Sink looked like it was coming loose from base of unit. Hallway very warm. Room key often didn't work at room or in elevator. No cups for water in room. Only one machine to get water on 4th floor. No doorman or bell staff to help with doors or luggage. Lobby looks pretty but music very loud.

I was nervous about staying in Times Square area! Worried about noise, crowds and the fact that some hotels in that area are, to put it politely, gross. The Paramount Times Square was such a great surprise. A playfully decorated and spacious lobby with lots of seating. Friendly staff. A nice [expensive] French coffee shop near the front of the lobby and clean, tasteful and comfortable room. One caution: our room (the least expensive), was small and the toilet was angled and squeeze into the room in a way that took a little gymnastics to get your leg around the sink support pole, which was almost touching the front of the toilet. Other than that, a real find where I'd be glad to get a room again!

Located in the heart of the theater district so we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Very comfortable bed. Clean and safe.

Great quality for price. Excellent location in theater district. Water pressure on higher floors a little weak. Beds comfortable. They have an ice machine but only provide plastic bags no paper bucket. No cups in room. Need to get paper cups at ice machine. Reliable housekeeping every day. No wash cloths just bath and hand towels. Small charge for baggage storage and package delivery. Coffee shop off of lobby.

Lovely eclectic Lobby and vintage style elevators . Actual room was basic but adequate. Decent size room ( had a full size bed in the one I chose) Water very slow to drain down bathroom sink. Clogged? Overall loved the close proximity to TimesSquare. Literally less than 5 mins from the action.

It was very convenient and in general was very pleasant but in the bar and lobby I saw few cockroaches walking around.

Building has clasic features art deco brass elevator 🚪 doors. Cool vibes

Terrible. Hotel hasn’t been renovated in decades. Phone in room didn’t work, thermostat didn’t work, no remote for TV. Fruit flies in room. Disgusting
