With a 'cabinisque' feel to our room (1 bedroom / 2 full ). It was very comfortable. We even used the pull out - and with the firm foam it was actually quite comfortable as well.
The staff was very friendly. It is close to town (walking distance if you want). Easy access to Rushmore, Jewel Cave, Custer St Park.

Breakfast was adequate and fresh. Toilet was slow at draining and threatened overflow several times but use of plunger finally got it flowing properly. Bath sinks and mirror area very spacious.

The property was exactly as expected from pictures online! Super cute and roomy. Almost all staff was super friendly and personable (only one staff member was a little less enthused), but overall, just awesome people! Everything was clean and up-kept. Laundry area was available on site too, which was very nice!
If you have kids that don’t swing great, bring floaties for the pool. The entire pool depth was 4.5 feet, no shallow end.
Lots of options within walking distance for shopping and restaurants.
We would definitely stay here again!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Rock Crest Lodge. It was convenient to the Custer State Park, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave and the Crazy Horse Memorial. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was nice after a day of hiking. The lodge is close to lots of food options, but is located in a quiet part of town.
Contrary to the listing, there is no daily housekeeping. If staying multiple days, new towels can be obtained at the office and trash placed outside the door. That was fine. However, one thing we really missed was towel racks for wet towels in the bathroom.
Overall we had a nice stay.

In the online description, it said hot tub. Hot tub and pool were closed during our. They even advertised the hot tub on the outdoor sign. We stayed in a standard room with a king size bed. The room was very, very small. The cabins may be nicer, but the standard room in the motel was way overpriced. The breakfast was cereal and mini muffins, and instant coffee. That’s right, instant coffee. The staff was very nice, and the room was very clean. The heater was poorly working, and my husband had to jam towels and jackets underneath the door to keep the cold air from coming in. There is no place in the bathroom to hang wet towels.
We checked out a day early, However, I doubt we’ll get a refund. I would not recommend this property at the price we paid which was $185 a night. This was a 79.95 room at best.

Nice little place close to the heart of Custard. We stayed in the lodge because we were only doing a quick overnight. The cabins look cool! Came back to our room that night to 3 deer right outside!

A little outdated, the bedding and TV. Very minimal to-go breakfast. They have cabins in the back that look nice from the outside but the hotel room was right on the main road, with trucks and motorcycles going by early mornings.

We stayed in the lodge and it was good. Only issue was the AC wall unit was very loud and you’ll hear the annoying loud trucks driving by.
