What an amazing property to relax at. The beach is steps away from their Pineapple moon bar which is perfect.

Bungalow was nice and updated. Good air conditioning and comfy beds. It could use an inside table or chair. The table was outside on the patio and if it’s too hot that’s not comfortable. Also be aware that if you have a bottom bungalow, you might hear noise from your upstairs guests.

I didn't like the no vaping policy. While smoking does stink and its understandable to ban it indoors. Vaping is not smelly like smoking. I was forced to eat zyn my entire stay.

I have stayed at the property several times before in the last 13 years and like the location. It is a beautiful property in need of a makeover in the rooms. The beach area is always clean and the layout is nice.
However, when we entered the hotel the first impression this time was not so good. The lady at the desk was abrupt and rude. She was asking us to sign a waiver and when my 25 year old daughter asked a question, she turned to her and said I am talking to your mother! wow! They charged me extra for 3 people in a 2 queen bed room and the self park was 40 dollars a day or 45 for the valet. that seemed a lot.
THEN, we went to our room and the floors had not been vacuumed or cleaned very well. In fact, it was a joke for the whole week about a piece of string that stayed on the floor the whole time. We constantly had to ask for more towels and cups because we were 3 not 2. They also told me they would clean the room every other day and change the sheets. THEY DID NOT. There was a spot on the sheet on one of the beds and when they cleaned the room it was still there, but looked like they hit it with a TIDE pen. LOL.

If I ever get to go back, I will definitely seek another property.

Overall it’s nothing fancy but it’s right on the beach and they have a small pool and a few fire pits to watch the sunset is stunning. There’s a luau next door and the restaurant has good food and the views are spectacular. The rooms are tiny, the decor is authentic Hawaiian. They also have bungalows so it’s a great place for families lots of open space to run around.

I booked a 6-day stay at the Royal Lahaina property through Expedia for my family of three. Unfortunately, our experience with the staff was disappointing. From the beginning, they were not friendly or welcoming.
Our package included breakfast for two adults, and we were charged for our 1-year-old child who was just sitting with us while eating and my child only eats puréed food, nothing from the restaurant. When I raised this issue the next day and requested that only the two adults be charged, the service noticeably declined. From that point on, we were no longer offered coffee, water, or any basic attention during breakfast. It felt like we were being deliberately ignored.
Additionally, the body wash in our room was empty upon arrival. Despite requesting a refill, no one ever responded. The room lacked a microwave to heat food, and the refrigerator was not working, which made it very difficult to store or prepare anything for our toddler.
Overall, I had a terrible experience with the service and hospitality at this property. I would not recommend it for families traveling with young children.

Beautiful resort. Comfortable beds. The yoga classes in the morning were great. The instructors were great. It would be nice to have some bathrooms near the pools. A little variation on the breakfast buffet would be nice. Scrambled eggs every morning gets old.

We have been here twice, once in 2021 and again in 2025. Great resort and atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Only reason for 4 star instead of 5 is that the rooms could use a little updating.

What a lovely resort. The wood is Hawaiian carved wood on everything and it makes me feel like royalty for sure!

Though we had a rocky start with our oceanfront room in the tower, we were switched to a bungalow. The bungalow was newly renovated and spacious. There were issues with the toilet and shower, but were remedied after couple days. The grounds was beautiful and the beach was steps away. Convenient location and walkable to nearby shopping and restaurants. Overall, a pleasant stay.
