We were very pleasantly surprised with this property. Working in hospitality myself, I check everything for cleanliness. Most everything seemed to be fairly clean. We did find some hairs on the shower walls but that wasn’t the end of the world for us. Both toilet paper rolls were less than half with no extras in the room, it would have been nice for a back up roll so we didn’t have to go get it. Also wish the cost of parking was included in the cost of the stay, but that seemed to be par for the course when we were looking for a hotel near Oracle Park. The bed was also surprisingly comfortable. Room was small but we only needed to sleep and shower so that wasn’t a huge issue. Trader Joe’s is in walking distance as well as lots of other places.

My stay at Sonesta was great! Was checked in by Elias, who was very nice and informative. Even got an upgraded room with a view of the Bay. The hotel has great amenities including a nice bar. The bartender was amazing and engaging, I forgot his name, but the drinks were top tier. Parking was also easy. Definitely recommend for an affordable and nice stay in the Bay area.

Daughter’s birthday getaway and we decided to stay one more night. Hotel was really nice and the staff were even better.

They charge $25 for parking now. There was blood splattered all over the room so we had to move. The next room was also dirty and had windows were so filthy you could barely see out of them. Sad because I’ve stayed here in the past and it was great. Not sure why it has gone down hill.

Overall the condition of property is okay, few items can use some improvement. WiFi didn’t work the first day, sink was not working properly (kept closing down, had to pull up with finger), weird smell in the shower, bathroom.

The proximity to Oakland children's hospital made it a great place to stay. Shops near was a plus. It was safe and quiet. The bar was a good touch. The shower water temp never really got hot enough for me though.

Property was ok. Front desk lady on check was nice, but lady at checkout was extremely rude. Unexpectedly was charged $25 to park. No coffee in the morning until 7:00am, when I checked out at 4:30am. Ice machine on my floor didn’t work.
The only thing nice about this place was the shopping mall and restaurants across the street. Definitely will not be staying here again.

They spray a cleaner in the room that had an overpowering smell. Fortunately they were able to move me to a room with the window. The manger seemed put out with my request, but she did accommodate me. The housekeeper was lovely.

Rooms are excellent. Free coffee in room. They could upgrade to a Keurig coffee maker. No microwave. Room had convenient bottles of water for a charge. The hotel has self serve laundry, 2 wash, 2 dry. The have a convenience store, restaurant and bar in lobby. Close to train station and food.

Our room got flooded the toilet didn’t work, I’m a diabetic n couldn’t use the bathroom, I had to go in the lobby at 6am
It was cold all nit at 68 degrees
When I booked I only booked because it said continental breakfast n we didn’t get it
I paid 398 for one nite n it was horrible
I will not pay that price again or stay there
I told the front desk n they didn’t bother to care at all

Everything was okay except the guy Moses that checked us in. Super weird interaction, no eye contact, no information and left myself and my partner thinking “what the heck was that?” It made me want to switch hotel’s immediately but we stuck it out.

Just in the Oakland area for a few days to visit family. Convenient location. A little pricey to self park a vehicle... otherwise a good price and nice spot for breakfast.
