Ocean Sands Resort, Oceanfront, Virginia Beach by Vacatia

Huge, beautiful room RIGHT on the boardwalk/beach. Ample parking. Very friendly staff. Daniel was great at checkin!

It’s an awesome property, very nice staff the rooms are huge and very well maintained and cleaned will be back for another stay. The only thing is they don’t have any robes to wear for the pool.

Lady staff very friendly and helpful Not as clean as I would hope Bathtub was dirty long hairs in tub short kinky hair and dirt around edge of tub and a faint dirt ring in the tub. Tile Floor was swept but not mopped other than that no complaints Good location. May chose again

Jimmy in Maintenance was awesome! We had to move to another room because toilet was leaking. Jimmy took care of everything even retrieving the keys to new room. The lady at the front desk requested we come down to get keys. Jimmy saw we were loaded with luggage and helped us tremendously!!!

Front desk staff all are very friendly from the allowing an early check in, because my room was ready, to restaurant recommendations. Awesome staff.

Spacious rooms. Fully stocked kitchen. Working sauna.

The people were friendly, the spot was easy to find, and we had a room the size of a small apartment, with 2 ocean-view balconies, for about relatively cheap. The bathtub had jets, which was a plus; and I’ll take advantage of the sauna/pool area when we visit again and have less planned. I enjoyed walking the board walk, and the food options in the area were decent. We got a call about (I’m pretty sure) going to a meeting about the time-share; we skipped the meeting, but they did say they had renovations planned…I think that’s a great idea. This is in a great location, but the decor/appliances/building aesthetics could use an update. The only thing that was really tough to deal with was the bed…it was not comfortable, and it had a cover under the sheets that crinkled loudly whenever you moved…because the bed was uncomfortable, we moved a lot. We ended up sleeping on the pullout bed, which was much more comfortable…which is kind of crazy. At the end of the day, though, for the value that we paid, this was a great spot. The people were friendly, the view from the 6th floor was great, and we didn’t break the bank to stay there and have a nice weekend away…I’ll just bring extra bedding to put on top of the mattress next time we visit, haha

Ocean Sands is my favorite place to vacation. All staff are friendly and resort clean and safe to walk around. Lots of restaurants closeby

Good location and decent value but our room was in dire need of maintenance. In our room we had three failed lights (including both balconies), a balcony door with a faulty lock, a toilet seat that was very wobbly, a bathroom door handle that felt like it was going to fall off every time it was used and a sofa bed mattress that should have been replaced a decade ago. The room was good at first glance but not what it should have been.

The Fire Alarm went off repeatedly for half the morning. That was disappointing.

My first choice whenever I visit Va Beach

The property is in a good location with great views.

Ok . Room shower temperature is terrible (cold). Even at 530am pressure is terrible. Carpet is old and looks dirty.
