Travelodge by Wyndham Depoe Bay

Very nice! Loved the view of the ocean out our window and the wife loved the gas fireplace!!

My interactions with the staff and management were always postive. I had a two Queen room on the third floor, which was clean and the elavator was unexpectedly quick and efficient. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room was nicely sized and the bathroom also nicely-sized. The only issue regarded the need to put a facing on the edge of spacious bathroom counter. I stayed here mainly because of its proximity--about a mile---to the Depot Bay boat launch. The view of the Pacific and the wonderful sunset was lagniappe! And it was truly within walking distance of Depoe Bays places to dine and its little shops. My recommendation is that they consider either adding a screen to its slidng balcony door, or adding air conditioning. My fishing partner was able to park his full-size Ford pickup and his Kingfisher 2425 Escape HT comfortably within reasonable and comfortable sight on

Bathtub leaked HOT water all night which made the room hot and humid. (No AC available). Room was on the ocean side which, one would think, is a great idea, however noise from road right outside window was loud all night long.

The staff was excellent. Property was well maintained and very clean. It was noisy being right off highway 101 so had to keep the sliding glass door closed at night but that solved the problem. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Everything overall was nice and clean. The ocean view was wonderful.

All rooms had balconies and the balcony had a lovely view of the Pacific.

The staff was friendly. However, unfortunately, the room was not clean. I washed filthy dirty finger marks off of the doorhandles, and all around the door handles inside and out of bathroom door. I had to wash all counter and table tops. There was a terrible smell in there. It smelled as though they sprayed lysol all over the place and you could still smell dirty, musty odor. The electric fireplace was broken, the unit was UGLY and outdated! When we went to bed we thought there were bed bugs because we were itching so baldly. But it turned out we both had reaction to the detergent or perhaps lysol got on the sheets? So, my face swelled and I got rashes. We couldn't leave the patio door open for fresh air because there was people in a unit below us smoking pot and cigarettes non stop on their balcony (it's a non smoking establishment they DON'T enforce that though) and it came straight into our room making my allergies and asthma worse. The bed was rock hard. So I got 3 hours sleep. Woke up 6 am with a stiff neck, migraine, my face was swollen and I had a rash on my face.This place has a beautiful view of Depot Bay. Gorgeous! If they cleaned properly, update the rooms, get new beds from this decade and enforced non smoking policy this would be a great place! I checked out 7 am that morning. The staff was kind, very understanding and didn't make me pay for another night that I had reserved. But did not try to address the smokers below us. Shrugged it off.

You could hear the ocean when the door was open but also the cars on the highway and the boats on the water. The room did not smell good and without air conditioning the room was stuffy and hot. The floor had a lot of sand.

Room had no ventilation and was stuffy like an ant farm . Lots of road noise coming into the room because it’s next to hiway 101 . So no peace and quiet for sleeping

This was like heaven on earth w the ocean view and listening to the ocean each night

Hot tub jets blew sand into water notified housekeeping and they just wiped tub out..Very noisy location right on a very busy highway. Poor experience and will.not stay there again. Rooms were also very warm with no a/c.

The views are Awesome and we saw quite a few whale spouts. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. We were there for three nights, wish we could have stayed longer but maybe next time.

Very clean and updated room facing the ocean where you can sit o your deck and whale watch. On the 101 walkable to all shops and restaurants. Only thing is the bathroom could use some TLC

The views of the ocean was outstanding and we saw quite a few whales!

Room was clean but very hot. No air conditioning and the traffic noise was extremely loud. I could hear foot traffic from above and on either side.

Loved the balcony looking out at the sea. Nice room, well kept up.

The hotel is right across the street from whale & wave watching and down the street from shopping. Several nature spots are a close drive away. The bed was super comfy. Room was more modern than I expected. Everyone was friendly at the hotel, always ready with whatever we needed. Plus the elevator was priceless. We will absolutely be staying here again.
