Travelodge by Wyndham Elkton University Area

This place was run down the walls and ceiling are falling down, it was extremely dirty, and didn’t have nearly any other amenities that have mentioned online, it was honestly less than a half a star rating

I checked in on Monday after 3p, got my room and was happy it was clean....my check out was on Thursday and left early....total of 4 days and 3 nights, now I normally dont use motel rooms so I could be wrong but no one changed my towels or new bedding...so I dont know if i should have called but in others they always came and took care of this....

Property was, not at all, what was shown on EXPEDIA. There were broken down cars in several of the parking spaces. They used cement blocks as part of their landscaping. Further, there were numerous potholes in the parking lot. The OLD sign for SUNRISE INN, is still up; and, only a tarp above the front office reflect the TraveLodge name.

Probably the worse hotel/motel I had ever stayed at. Got a non-smoking room that smelt like smoke. Carpet was disgustingly sticky. And showered with my slides on. The room was hot, and the AC took hours to cool it down. When I texted management, (their preferred communication), they never responded. Also, no Wi-Fi.

There was a truly awful smell, in the office and in the room. The clerks did not speak to me except to ask me for my ID. No instructions, just handed me a paper to sign and my room key card. The entire property was run down, and felt unsafe. The room also had a number of insects in it. It was dirty, from the walls, to the carpet, every surface looked to have a latyer of grime, even the doors. We were exhausted after traveling, so bought insecticide and air fresheners and took out chances for the night. Around 2:30 in the morning, we were both awakened by a commotion outside our door- someone yelling, throwing things. We left first thing in the morning and cancelled the rest of our reservation.

The was the most awful place I have ever had the displeasure of staying. Firstly, there was mold in the bathroom and on the shower curtain. The room was not clean then there were ants all over the room. They gave us the option to change rooms and second room was worse than the first. The third room was subpar, so we tolerated it because we could not move to a new hotel. We had a hard time getting clean towels and washcloths other large years were complaining about not having tissue. The staff was very rude and every day that we went out, my key card was deactivated, so I had to go to the lobby every single night to have my key reactivated. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The area that the hotel is in is dilapidated. If this lodge had been clean, it would’ve been tolerable, but it was dirty.. incredibly dirty

Very polite folks working at the registration desk. Efficient. It is obvious that effort has been made to improve the condition of the property, but there is still a lot more work to be done. There was no secondary security lock on the entrance door (it had been pulled off). The shower curtain was covered with black mold. The television worked and the AC unit worked perfectly.

Ants in the room, torn wallpaper, holes in ceiling, bathtub caulking was terrible. No plastic cups, towels were really cheap, only 2. Peep hole had a Kleenex in it.

I did not like this property. I I wish I could get a refund because I did not even stay. I had to get another room on Expedia the same night

Horrible Property Booked drove an hr to be told we don’t have a room. Then gave the run around for 2 hrs All to end up with no room at this property or the other one they tried to pon us off on. Trash service never stay here

Terrible & dirty

It was awful. I left 20 minutes after checking in and the only reason it took that long, is that I was afraid to go outside to walk to my car. The room was disgusting! The smoke detector was ripped out of the ceiling, the beds had crumbs and leaves on them. There was rotting food in the fridge. There were people blasting music in the parking lot. There were people smoking pot in the parking lot.

No tv remote, cigarette marks on the covers. Weed fragments in the draw. Wet floor. Everything was terrible. Do not recommend staying here.

It had stained faceclothes and towels. The bathroom door was filthy and had a hole punched into it. The bedding was very clean though. I personally feel that they should be operating under the Wyndham brand until they complete renovations.

I refused to stay at this location. Rooms are not ready for public Services. Rooms are under construcción renovación. Rooms are not to public standards.

The bed was horrible the shower was disgustingly dirty. Cob webs in the bathroom and the floors felt like you could fall through at any moment. Do not stay here spend the extra money somewhere else.

The hotel was a nightmare! We walked into the room and it was filthy and moldy and the bathroom had paint peeling! Just outside our door there was a group of young people smoking pot and the door lock was busted! We did not feel safe so we immediately went back to the front desk and told them we could not stay here, The front desk man, . Mike offered another room but it was not safe! We only chose it because it said Wyndham Travelodge. False advertisement since there was a plastic banner up with Travelodge on it and the real name was Sunrise Inn!
