I am not sure how this hotel had a guest rating of 9! Checked in and the room had a horrible odor. No one answers the phone. Went to front desk and they said they would send someone to spray. No one came. The odor was so bad, I couldn’t sleep and got physically ill! Next morning I called housekeeping and a very nice man came and sprayed the room. When I returned several hours later, the room still stunk of an unbearable odor. Can you imagine trying to sleep with stench! For my 2nd night, they moved my room. Doesn’t change the fact that I paid for the first night in unacceptable conditions and they refused to refund me for the first night. Hotel staff was friendly but management obviously doesn’t truly care to make things right. Location is good and room size is nice for NY. Front desk staff, bell desk, door man all nice but I would never return to these unsanitary conditions! Hotel management thinks this is acceptable? Horrible customer care!

The staff was very helpful. There was work being done on the hotel and hammering was going on from 9am until 5 pm. When I asked at thfront desk, they advised me, because I had booked thru expedia, there was nothing to be done. They said they might be able to dosomething about parking($80.00 a day) but that did not happed.

Elevators are inadequate for the size of the facility. Had to take stairs or the service elevator every morning. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Will stay elsewhere next visit.

Reserved and paid in advance for a "Suite on the Avenue" for Labor Day weekend. Was informed upon check in that the Suite was not available until the following day. The Warwick crammed our party of three into a tiny room (that you cannot reserve for a party of three), whose terrace was inaccessible because of construction. We had to wait 45 minutes for a rollaway bed that arrived without pillows and were told, upon requesting more pillows, "There are 5 on the bed, use those." The Warwick refused our request, over and over again, for a discount. Buyer BEWARE at The Warwick!!!

Problem with this hotel are the lifts , they are very slow and not uncommon to wait 15 to 20 minutes for a lift to arrive. As a consequence I would not stay there again, yet everything else about this hotel fine
