Nice hotel, with excellent service, but avoid the restaurant, by all means. It took more than 3 hours to have dinner and food was just ok. Also , it was the most expensive meal we had in Samrkande by far.

Wonderful hotel with delicious breakfasts including freshly cooked eggs to order and real coffee. Good location with a 15 minute walk through parks to the Registan. Staff were excellent with good English. The only slight negative was that the bathroom ventilation was poor, and when we mentioned that to the manager, he moved us to another better room with a much better bathroom. Excellent service!

I loved everything about my stay. The hotel is located on the quiet residential street in the traditional neighborhood at the walking distance to the majority of main attractions. The room was very clean. The hotel employs excellent cook and the food was delicious. It was a rare occasion when every morning we were looking forward to the breakfast in the hotel. Every staff member was very helpful; they went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay.

This is a quiet hotel just outside the main tourist area. The rooms are large and well maintained. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but the entry opens onto a lovely courtyard where breakfast is served. There's no lift and they don't take credit cards but this is the only downside.

Zero hospitality service. It was no power,no water, no elevators. Manager was very unprofessional. Poor service, so we had to leave this property. They promise to give us money back for not having water and electricity, but instead they charge us full price, for not staying in this hotel. Very disappointed and don’t recommend to anyone to stay in this property

So, let’s start with the positive. This is a really charming hotel with a lovely courtyard and an excellent breakfast. When we had logistical questions (like covid tests to edit the country), the staff got back to us right away. The hotel is one block from Timur’s Mausoleum and a very pleasant 15-minute walk from the world-famous Registan. Breakfast buffet included made-to order eggs, some excellent pastries and a lot of options for despite the small number of guests. We had no problems with bathroom or wifi. Our only issue was that we requested a queen bed and they changed us to two twin beds at reception.

Samarkand is a fascinating, history-rich destination and staying in the historic part of the city was a rewarding experience. I recently spent four nights at the L’Armanac Hotel and have only the highest words of praise. Before my arrival, I had already contacted the manager, Ms. Sharofat Azizova, who responded to my emails with professionalism and courtesy. It was a pleasure to receive such prompt and reassuring assistance in Uzbekistan. She kindly arranged all my rail tickets in advance, so I had five train tickets waiting for me in Samarkand, the first stop in my Uzbeki adventure. She also arranged airport pick-up for my arrival. The hotel itself is an elegant and beautifully decorated oasis, with chandeliers and fresh flowers. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with everything one might need, and the colorful embroidered suzanis on the beds provide an authentic, ethnic touch. The whole place is bright and polished, and kept spanking clean. Staff is pleasant and smiling. Breakfast is set up outside in the terrace, overlooking the garden. In colder weather, the buffet is moved indoors to a dining hall. Ms. Azizova’s care was the epitome of graciousness. Upon request she provided a personal driver to take me around Samarkand, wherever I wished to visit. She patiently answered my questions and made everything easy for me in a foreign country. She even made time to sit and chat with me explaining local custom and culture. Thank you Ms. Azizova and your remarkable staff!

Beautiful garden and reception area and nice rooms but lacking in overall aspects of service. Check in wasn’t as smooth, hotel reception recommended 1.9 star restaurant on the google map for dinner, surprisingly cheap amenities, and our “metered” taxi that hotel called for us demanded twice the price that hotel told us to pay when we got to the station. Overall, it was a nice hotel but will need some improvement to grow its brand name.
