Do Thanh Residence by DDH

Đô Thành Residence by DDH is located in a nice, quiet neighbourhood that feels safe and relaxed, which was a real plus during our stay. It’s close enough to walk to food spots, cafés, and local areas, making it convenient without being noisy or touristy. The hotel reception area is lovely and welcoming. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the coffee at breakfast was very good. Breakfast itself was okay but fairly limited in variety, so it’s fine for a short stay but not especially memorable. Our room was clean but a little outdated. The city view was nice, however the bathroom felt quite old and there was visible mould, which detracted from the overall comfort and freshness of the room. Facilities were a highlight — the pool, spa, and sauna were all good, well-maintained, and a great way to relax after walking around the city. Overall, a comfortable stay with excellent staff, good amenities, and a peaceful location, but the rooms (particularly the bathrooms) could benefit from updating to better match the quality of the common areas.

Staff were great breakfast limited but okay. Tip: this is where the locals live so plenty of good street food.

The manager Kevin and his staff were absolutely amazing. From the cleaning staff to the breakfast servers, everyone was so friendly and attentive. Our room was very roomy with lots of cupboard space.. everything we could wish for. Would definitely go back.. a home away from home. Loved it!!

Undergong change of management and staff can not answer a question without calling someone. Great sizes rooms.... Security around entry in and out a question. Room keys are so old they do not often work and staff sticky tape them together.

Apartment style living with two bedrooms, two baths. Master bedroom had an en suite. When I booked the property it was called Lavis 18 on Expedia. The name must’ve changed to Do Than Residence from the time I booked to the time of my arrival so that made it a little confusing. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The doorman/security helped us with our luggage. Housekeeping staff was also friendly. They brought us clean towels and toilet paper when we requested.I really have no complaints about the staff. There was a bit of a language barrier but that was to be expected as I don’t speak any Vietnamese. Google translate came in handy so it really wasn’t a problem in the end. The breakfast/coffee area was small but was never crowded in the morning. The set menu consisted of about 6-7 choices and was edible but nothing to rave about. There are so many other food options in the surrounding area but having the ability to eat breakfast and coffee at the property made it a convenient way to start the day. We booked a tour around HCMC through the hotel which I highly recommend doing. Our tour guide, Huong, was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. Lunch wasn’t included in the tour that we booked but our guide took us to a Michelin rated pho restaurant where we all had lunch. The location of the property was a non-issue since booking a Grab taxi with the app was so easy and inexpensive. Overall, I would stay at this property again!

Convenient

This hotel was not as nice as the pictures seem. The hallways are outdated and smell. The bathrooms have a mildew smell. The beds are very hard. We asked for a late check out and when we went to pay the extra fee they do not accept card. I would not stay here again, wishing we would have spent the extra money to stay somewhere else.

This is a nice hotel and the staff were polite and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the only thing that could have been improved was the mirror situation, there was no full frame mirror, just the ones in the bathroom where you couldn’t see below the waist.

The phone number they provide with expedia is not working. I called the number associate with Expedia too many but not go through I have to go to this hotel to talk to them about the booking and let's them know that the phone number list on Expedia was not working.

The room is spacious and very clean. It is on the quiet street, but there’s a lot of eatery when you get out from the quiet street.

One treadmill was broken. No towels in exercise room.

Nice stay and excellent service

Four of us stayed here for two nights based on my friend recommended. The hotel staff were great, the facility can do with a some touch on and the normal wears and tears. We got the two bedrooms. The bed was on the hard side for me so I had to sleep on my pillows in order for the beds to be bearable. My mom and the other relatives slept fine. The wiring is a little loose in my bedroom so my lamp kept going in and out at the desk table. The AC worked really well. There was basic amenities like water, tea, and coffees. Breakfast was also descent and the Vietnamese iced coffew was very good. My family liked the place and the pool was refreshing after a long day of running around. There is a massage place near and resonability priced.

Room was spacious and adequately furnished. Though a serviced apartment, crockeries , cooking utensils etc are kept for safety. Housekeeping will send to room if requested. My room faces the school, some disturbance on weekdays from 7am. But overall, i gotvused to it. Good sized fridge really good for storing snacks or fruits etc. Bed is comfy and shower room (though somewhat small), enjoy great shower. Overall, nice place to stay.

Overall and great stay! Quiet neighborhood but right next to a school so can hear children early in the morning. Many local restaurants nearby and close drive to D 1

Lovely and friendly receptionist Tâm. He was very helpful and a joy to talk to. He was very helpful in pointing amazing spots around Saigon to chill and visit.

Good place to stay

Really nice and comfortable, and easy walk or Grab to the main centre. The school next door was very loud though, so probably not the place if you want to sleep late in the day

This is a nice little hotel in the Ban Co locality. Sandwiched between some very busy streets this area has many amenities and is very walkable with narrow streets and pathways. Parking is excellent and secure. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool but wasn’t tempted either…. High marks for cleanliness and calmness.
