I had a week working in Hue and luckily I chose Gold Hotel as a resting place in a tired week. Everything is great: from the space, the rooms and the hotel staff are very good, especially the reception with Ms. Ngoc and Nhu Mai as enthusiastic, friendly and professional. very good. It seems like it used to be the Gold Hotel, but I'm not sure if it changed names or ownership. The rooms don't have key cards, and the soundproofing is poor, so other rooms slam their doors shut (because they're push-button locks), which can easily startle you while you're sleeping. The rooms are damp and not new. The only positives are the convenient location and the hot water. I'm not sure about other services.

The staff were enthusiastic and polite. The room was quite basic, with a double bed, a desk and chair, and plenty of open space, giving a feeling of spaciousness. The bathroom was a bit small, and the bathtub didn't hold water well, so a tub bath wasn't an option. The room was decorated quite nicely. There was a wardrobe and mirror in the room for guests to try on clothes without having to go into the bathroom. By my standards, it was quite good, with sufficient amenities, but it didn't fully utilize its potential. 8.2/10

The room was renovated but still had a bad, damp, moldy feel. Cleaning was only done every two days, the bed was in poor condition with uneven springs that made it very uncomfortable to lie on, the elevator was incredibly slow, and check-in took a long time.
