This was such an unexpected delight. The hotel is characterful with original period features but with a modern bathroom that had an incredible shower. Beautiful comfortable bed, insanely stunning views from the balcony. We got a picnic from the whole foods shop in Machynlleth and ate it while the sun went down. Peaceful and beautiful.

Breakfast good, the hotel and room way below expectations. Booked a supervisor room and it was dirty, broken and external doors did not lock or fit properly.

A nice place to stay, but slightly irritated by the fact that after a long day out walking we came here for one night only to find the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were all completely empty in the bathroom. That, and because we arrived after 9pm, we missed getting a breakfast order in which we’d had no mention of, even though we’d informed them we would arrive around 10pm

A beautiful setting. The hotel was clean and friendly. Lovely cooked breakfast. No sign of the honesty bar, but staff were happy to serve us drinks from their events bar 😀 Would definitely return.

My stay was very good and the hostesses Steph and Erin were super friendly and helpful. From help with pre-ordering breakfast the day before to getting our room instructions. The place was gorgeous and very clean. A very easy place to chill down and rewind. The only thing I would advise for improvement is to remove that staircase window in the twin bedroom as it lets light come in to the room at night even with the curtain closed. Also maybe tint it with privacy film.

This is a GEM of a B&B! It’s tucked away in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountains, and is an absolute slice of heaven. The mansion is truly beautiful, and has been renovated with an eye for design and careful respect of its past. The antique furnishings were so perfectly chosen for each room, and the bathrooms were modern and classy. Our two rooms were both very generously sized, and both had rooftop patios overlooking the mountains in the distance. Breakfast was divine - fine dining in breakfast form - and served in the Music Room. The hosts were so friendly and kind, and went out of their way to make our stay as wonderful as possible. This is very special place, and we can’t wait to visit again someday!

Opened at beginning of 2023 so a few minor teeething issues. Room was a klittle cold despite all radiators on full so may not be well insulated! Good breakfast. Close to nice river and some copuntryside, but a lot of fences! Close to town with its book shps and modern art gallery as well as Centre for Alternaive Energy, which is great for a family visit.
