Roch Castle Hotel

Beautiful, comfortable boutique hotel stay with exceptional staff. Marie was wonderful, acquainted us with the history of the Castle and the wonderful hotel amenities. She even assisted us with extending our stay. Can’t wait to return for a summer visit! 5 star and a highlight of our South Wales adventure!

Truly magical place to stay. Wonderful room, beautiful surroundings, lovely staff, excellent breakfast - and so romantic! We wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel was clean, staff welcoming and the breakfast was amazing.

This is a superbly restored space and quite unique. It has a few quirks that one should know and are represented by the property managers. There are no meals available outside of breakfast. If one has large pieces of luggage navigating it to ones room could be more than challenging. I am a bit surprised that there is no accommodation made in terms of staffing to provide assistance with luggage.

Roch Castle Hotel ticks all the boxes for a superb and unique experience. The hotel exudes luxury but in a calm and peaceful manner. A sympathetic restoration leaves many of the castles features evident in most rooms and public rooms.

It was a surprise trip for hubby. As we pulled up to the gates, he let out a huge WOW, I did too. The lady that greeted us and showed us around was lovely. Our room, the Nest, was beautiful as was the rest of the castle. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast and met other members of staff, they were lovely. It was like being in a fairy tale. After touring many castles in Wales, it’s nice to treat my wife of 48 years to a few nights in an old castle. Old but new. It’s very modern once inside with many comforts and a wonderful breakfast.

This is a little gem . We went there for our Ruby anniversary , the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and surprised us with a bottle of bubbly , cards and chocolates . The breakfasts were delicious using local produce . It was an amazing weekend made even better with good weather .

This property is a castle build in 1195 with completely modern restoration. If you want to travel back in time and have all the modern amenities, this is your chance! It's a fascinating experience! We absolutely loved it!

We stayed at Roch Castle for 2 of 9 nights of our trip across Wales. It is a lovely place with a great staff and a wonderful ambiance. Breakfast was terrific too! We highly recommend the hotel and the experience. Truly special!

Little more to say than it’s a B&B opportunity in a castle! But this is topped off by friendly and attentive staff and an excellent breakfast! A definite stay if you are touring south/west Wales.

Had a lovely time at Roch Castle for my birthday. Staff were polite, and went the extra mile by leaving a very cool birthday card and bottle of wine in the room, as well as leaving petals on the bed spelling 'Happy Birthday'. Some people wouldnt like it, but I liked the fact the petals were fabric and not real. Better for the environment by leaving flowers in their full splendour. Plus avoids critters and mess in the room. Clean, tidy, gorgeous interiors with the quirk and magic of being a real castle. Breakfast offered a wide range of choices, from pastries, cereal, and cooked breakfasts. We enjoyed a nice Vegetarian breakfast with a rare treat of two sausage choices. Glamorgan, or Richmond. A refreshing change and superior choices compared to other mostly used brands of veggie sausage. The self serve honesty bar in the sun room is a welcomed touch and very useful in the evenings. The staff were also helpful when offering tips, advice, and suggestions of things to do in the local area. It was nice to have an opportunity to have a breif chat where staff took an interest in what guests had done the day before, or what ther plans were for that day. Thankful that when we left an item of clothing, they found it and returned it to us. Honestly, quite a magical experience.
