The Room was excellent. Staff generally very helpful and cheerful. A very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere . Cleaning Staff were spot on. Thanks.

Stayed for four nights in October 2025. Highly recommended.

Booked on review recommendations and it lived up to expectations. Proper old style hotel (with a real key!) but room modern and bathroom newly renovated. Nice to have a lounge to lounge in. Food lovely, service good and views superb, especially from our sea view room.

Nice sea view from room Room very small. Very old outdated pine furniture needs replacing. Missing shelf in shower cubicle. Peeling wallpaper under window. No window blinds. Room so small only 2 small uncomfortable fold down chairs to sit on. No space for suitcases, had to be put on top of wardrobe. Two people could not pass in most areas of the room. Table lamp shades stained. Restaurant and bar good. Reastaurant tables always clean but surfaces "sticky" and required washing over. Breakfast adequate but being self service bacon was often "hard", egg yokes solid and sausage skins hard. Fruit option would been nice? All staff very polite and freindly.

Lovely position , friendly and efficient staff , impressed with menu , very reasonably priced. Husband would have preferred firmer mattress and I would suggest wider choice of fruit for breakfast, but other than that great value and lovely stay.

The views from the hotel are truly stunning, and the location is excellent. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience fell short. Service was consistently average, both at reception and in the breakfast area. I had booked 2 rooms for 2 couples, both at the same price, but the disparity in quality was quite disappointing. While our friends received a spacious room with multiple windows, including a bay window, we were given a much smaller room with only a small window. It's hard to justify charging the same rate for two such different rooms. I wasn’t expecting luxury, but overall, the stay felt underwhelming. The staff didn’t seem particularly enthusiastic or welcoming, which added to the lackluster impression. With just a bit more attention to detail and effort, this hotel has the potential to be much better.

The view

Went bar in error at check-in and waited ages while bar girl served someone else and didn’t acknowledge me or direct me at all… luckily hubby found reception around the corner, there the man was helpful. Clean, comfy bed with good pillows and bedding. Room 4 (premium double sea view) quite small but everything that’s needed and absolutely beautiful view. Two chairs to put in front of window is a nice touch. Shower works fine but no shelf to put shampoo etc on so more tricky than would normally be. Fantastic evening meal and not too pricey either. Breakfast was very good. The lady brings warm plates out to diners (yes, I was wandering around looking for the them). If the fried eggs or black pudding have been under the heat lamp a bit long, just ask and fresh is provided, plus a second pot of tea. Wonderful coastal path to walk from the doorstep.

The setting is brilliant, and we had chosen it for the view, so looking out into the sea was a joy. The food was average, and the dinner I had was poor.

Hotel Manager was unwilling to help, not his problem even though it is his hotel

A pleasant one night stay just outside Amlwch in a nicely situated coastal hotel. Friendly staff. Hotel was mature age but reasonably renovated. Rooms were clean and comfortable and bathroom very clean and recently upgraded. Food and service was good.

Great room, great views,great breakfast. Only bit of a downer was that we weren't made aware of the specials menu when we ate on Saturday evening.

We had a comfortable overnight stay in a pleasant sea-view room. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.

We woke up to a stunning sunshine glittering over the sea.

Lovely hotel and wonderful staff, really relaxing break. Rooms are comfortable and clean with tea and coffee facilities. Will definitely return.

Our room had a magnificent view across the Irish Sea. We had lunch and dinner both days. Meals were lovely and staff were friendly. Would highly recommend staying there.

Fantastic service, friendly staff, the rooms are clean and overall a very comfortable stay.

The room was comfortable but very small. The dining room was very noisy on Saturday evening, being next to the small bar. It needs more soft furnishings to reduce the reverberation from people talking very loudly. Unusual to be given an exact time for breakfast. The signage for which entrance to use to get into the hotel is not obvious when you drive into the car park.
