Yr Hen Farcdy is wonderful accommodation in a beautiful setting, close to Snowdonia and all the special areas of north Wales. The rooms are comfortable, attractive and private, and the hosts Mike and Sue could not be more hepful. The breakfasts are delicious with a great range of options. We loved our 6 nights there and highly recommend it as a base fir exploring the region, or a spot for just chilling out.

A really great place to stay, this: not only a lovely setting handy for all sorts of attractions, but an interesting building ,itself, inside and out. Then, there’s the bedroom, en-suite and their attendant facilities — all excellent. But the best part is Mike & Sue, the hosts: very welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining! Add to this the great breakfast (both for its many options, and its first-class execution and presentation), and you genuinely couldn’t ask for more. We hope to come again — definitely.

We normally use hotels rather than B&Bs, and were mildly apprehensive before arrival, but Sue and Mike are warm and welcoming, yet respectful of privacy when needed. Two-bedroom self-contained flat, well supplied and equipped, clean and comfortable. Even the TV is good, and you can log into your own streaming service. Huge, freshly-cooked breakfast menu included. Location handy for Portmeirion, Snowdonia, and Anglesey, and Mike can advise about other places. Certainly the best stay in our entire trip.

Perfect b&b is tucked into a Welsh vale with a tinkling brook, lush garden alcoves, and plenty of charm and history We were so delighted to have had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful place. What a great stay we had at Yr Hen Farcdy - Mike & Sue are so friendly and helpful, and their breakfasts are fab. Bedroom was quiet (blissfully) and comfortable with great facilities - teas, etc., and a great shower. Beautiful garden. Didn't actually want to leave.

This B&B was a hidden Gem and a refreshing change in a lovely location, especially for touring throughout North West Wales; not far from Harlech and Porthmadog. Mike and Sue are such friendly hosts.
