It was Monday, so the Main Temple Area was closed. The perk? Fewer crowds! ✨

Totally worth to try. I suggest people to try to explore other temples around it; there are three other temples you can visit while still in the Prambanan site. Rent a bike if you prefer a better experience.

The staff were friendly and helpful, guiding us through the barcode scans from the app sent via email. Thankfully, everyone was able to enter without any issues. The temple still stands majestically, and despite the scorching heat, there are umbrella rentals available at the entrance. After taking our fill of photos, we returned to the parking lot, passing numerous souvenir shops, restaurants, and small businesses.

It was a pleasure to enter the Roro Jonggrang Temple and touch each carving directly. It's truly amazing how our ancestors built these thousands of temples.
