Overall, the experience is well worth the ticket price, especially if visiting in the morning or afternoon when the weather is not too hot. However, crowds during the holiday season can make exploring comfortable, especially at the main temple, where access is limited. Some areas lack shade, making it tiring during the day. For an optimal visit, it's recommended to arrive early, use a guide for a deeper historical context, and allocate at least two to three hours to enjoy the complex without rushing.

You can buy tickets directly on site. Yesterday, I asked the officer at the ticket counter and he was very friendly.

It's good, but it would be even better if there were a tour from Prambanan itself, even if it was paid, or an audio tour like at other places, so visitors don't just come to take photos. There are also minimal signs explaining the history or meaning of the temple's art. This temple has great potential, but it's simply untapped.
