Wrong names or passport numbers can't be corrected once the voucher is issued. Besides that, depending on your destination, this pass can save you money on transportation costs while in Japan. For 15,000 yen, I used it to Karuizawa, Kawazu, and Echigo Yuzawa. Without the pass, the total round-trip ticket price for these three places would have been 30,000 yen. So, make your trip worth it.
