The internet signal is good, the SIM card redemption flow is good too. Once you are at Australia's airport, you should be connected to free Wi-Fi and easily add the eSIM to your phone. Actually, it was a bit boring on the airplane when we landed because we couldn't add the eSIM to the phone as there was no Wi-Fi. So it's better for the instructions to include whether we can add it overseas instead of waiting until we landed in Australia.
