We had a lovely stay, great location for exploring Bergen, which was one of the reasons we booked this hotel. Excellent breakfast and staff are very friendly.

Super convenient for the tourist heart of the city, right beside Bergenhus Fortress, but just far enough from the bars to feel nice and quiet. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely.

We were told there is no parking on the property due to a concert. However there were multiple empty parking spot with ev chargers in the back. They recommended a pay parking 5-10 minutes walk away. The room was comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel is great. It’s walkable to shops and restaurants. The locks on the room doors don’t lock automatically, which I found out accidentally, but I figured it out after a while. I recommend the front desk people inform guests about the lock mechanism. Breakfast was great with many options for all taste buds. Front staff (woman) very friendly and kind, the male is very dry and dismissive.

The hotel overall was ok but the rooms were not great. First there is no air conditioning in the rooms so you have to open the windows and then you get the noise coming in. They had a very small fan in the room but it vibrated so bad we couldn’t use it. The bathroom is very small and the shower isn’t very good, the drain for it is half way into the rest of the bathroom and water goes everywhere. On the good side the breakfast is very good for a hotel buffet plenty of options and good quality. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

We booked the hotel last minute due to being let down by a booking we had made elsewhere, wasting 4 hours of our very short time in Bergen. Oda could see how upset we were upon arriving to the hotel and was incredibly helpful, ensuring our remaining time in Bergen was not hindered; making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. When we had issues with key cards late at night Favio was there to help, again making sure we had everything we need. The staff were fantastic. Rooms were great. The communal area was comfortable. The food selection at breakfast was fabulous. Location was perfect.

Hotel in the main area. Great breakfast , great wifi, clean . Clean hotel . Good staff . No parking . You can park 5 minutes walk in a parking garages for a fee. Small rooms . Only problem was with the beds . Not US standards. Small and not good mattresses . Also no Ac . Cant controll the temp in your room . Fortunately was not hot and we could crack the windows . Overall ok stay . Free coffee in the lobby a plus.

Despite a the hotel affecting many hotels, the staff at this hotel were kind and helpful. They apologized for what they said was limited breakfasr options, but it was one of the better buffet breakfasts I’ve had while traveling.

The hotel is in a great location, close to everything. The breakfast was good, and the hotel was very clean. The only drawback was that our room was located in the basement.

I really enjoyed staying at the Thon Hotel Orion. The hotel itself is beautiful with a great color palette in the rooms, cafe, and lobby. It is very close to everything in town but in a quiet nook away from the hustle bustle, The reception was very helpful and friendly. They made you feel very comfortable and at ease. The room we stayed in was spacious and very clean. It had stylish furniture and a very comfortable bed. The shower was excellent with great water pressure and warm water. I loved the free breakfast with so many choices, from croissants to a variety of eggs, pancakes, bacon, fruit, etc. It was a great way to start the day. One extra thing I really liked about the Thon Hotel Orion was its lounge area with unlimited coffee and tea. Many guests would hang out there after their daily travels and it was really spacious, colorful, and comfortable so you didn't have to just sit in your room. I highly recommend staying here!

Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant is not open for any other meals. Snacks are available at the front desk is partial bar for drinks.

Its walking distance to Bryggen (less than 5min), there is a grocery store (bunnpris) 2min away. It was heat wave in Europe around the time we were in Bergen, and since most norway (& europe) accommodation do NOT have AC, we were able to borrow a small fan at the front desk which helped a lot. Our room was average size (in Europe) and updated.

Breakfast was well laid out and extensive though after the third day it got v repetitive!

Conveniently located within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff.
