At arrival the room given to us was just beside the elevator. We asked to be changed there was no problem with the front desk but it took more than an hour to clean another room. We went for dîner and when we came back the room was ready and our luggage were already in the room. Nice place and nice service

Overall excellent experience. I will stay there again when in Halifax.

The staff was excellent! The food in the restaurant was very good! Shockingly so, I usually don’t eat in hotel restaurants, I had breakfast in my room, excellent and dinner one night. Some of the beat food the whole trip.

Excellent,luxury hotel adjacent to Pier 21, Seaport Market and the Waterfront Boardwalk. Room was very clean with wonderful water view. Bed was the most comfortable I have experienced! Staff welcoming and helpful. Restuarant and service was very good.

How clean and quiet it is.

Great location and great staff

Beds are excellent, as you would expect from a Westin. The location is good and the staff are friendly and very helpful (definitely 5 start staff!). My disappointment is that the hotel feels a little faded, still clean and well maintained.. it just shows its age. Also, I was surprised to discover a few things missing that I would have considered standard at this price point. No umbrellas (it’s Halifax!) No shower caps (not great if you’re planning a quick shower). Other room amenities were a bit slim, so that was disappointing. Otherwise, it was a decent hotel.. again, with a terrific staff and also a great breakfast!

Bed was comfy, TV was horribly dark, maintenance staff did not know how to turn the energy saving feature off to maintain a bright picture. Maid never left a fresh ice bag for the ice bucketful any of the 4 nights?

Wonderful hotel to stay in

From check-in to check-out, we had a great experience at the Westin. We stayed in a corner king room with a view of the harbor. It was very spacious and comfortable. The heating and cooling system worked well, and the shower was nice with good pressure and hot water. We also used the pool and the hot tub. The hot tub water was not excessively hot, which meant I could stay in it for longer than a few minutes. The pool water temp was refreshing without being cold. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. The hotel was convenient for walking all over (we are walkers). We were treating ourselves to a nice getaway (though business-related), so the room cost seemed reasonable. I highly recommend the hotel as a strategic base of operations for exploring this charming city.

Great staff and location

Everything was perfect! Staff Location Room

Got in the elevator, pressed my floor, nothing happened, continued to press my floor and no response. Had to use the open button to get out. Had to use two different sets of stairs to get to the 7th floor. Room was nice but layout did not make sense, tv did not pull out to face the bed it could only be moved a bit to one side. Staff was incredible, very nice and helpful, just wasn't a fan of those two things having a small fear of elevators in the first place

Staff is amazing especially Lee who was the first to greet us when we arrived. So personable and willing to help , such a great feeling to meet someone like him . Lee made us feel like family . Thank you

The Westin is a grand old hotel. The beds were super comfy and the staff was so attentive and helpful.

This is not my sort of hotel and seems completely soulless although naturally it is pefect for people on business trips. I noticed that my room dated from a time when it was not considered essential to offer a lot of extra electrical sockets.
