Great location, right downtown Harbour. The standard rooms are good, we were originally given a loft room but the stairs are steep and it is quite rustic with no place to put clothes. So glad they had a standard room

Everything is accessible, particularly the Black Ball Ferry and Victoria Clipper. Many restaurants are in the vicinity and within walking distance to the heart of Victoria, including Chinatown. Front Desk and the rest of the staff are friendly, and helpful. Good breakfast to start your day.

Although this hotel had complimentary breakfast that wasn’t enough to convince me to stay here again. The hotel has seen better days and is generally just a bit tired at this point.

4 friends stayed in the Balmoral Suite. It was clean & roomy and worked well for us. The location is also great. Close to restaurants and attractions. Having the breakfast on site was awesome!!

Great location and terrific value. Great staff and comfortable beds. The loft room set up definitely not my favorite as you have to go down a flight of stairs from the bed to the bathroom. I’d stay again as long as I was promised a single level room.

We enjoyed our stay at the Huntington - The concierge was extremely friendly and helpful! Breakfast was great! The hotel was comfortable and conveniently located. I think an outside refresh would really help the building

Breakfast was included and was a good hot & cold buffet. Scrambled eggs.sausage or bacon. Hash browns.Pancakes w syrup&jams, cold meats & cheeses. cereals & fruit. Coffee. Tea.Juice. Lovely setting in sunroom/solarium 👍 Very helpful and courteous staff.

Difficult finding where to check in. They switched our room without asking and put us in a multi-level room. Bedroom in loft, bathroom on 1st floor. Navigating stairs in middle of night was not pleasant. The building entry was awkward. If arriving after 7 in the evening, locked entry doors. Parking very limited with a charge. Furnishings very old and outdated. It wasn’t terrible but I would not stay again.

the room was fine, we booked this property because breakfast was included. That was important to us as we thought we eat at the hotel and be on our way to explore. but breakfast was terrible. We couldnt even take a cup of coffee to our room, it was forbidden. we could have gotten a better place with a pool for the price

This is a very nice hotel. You can call it a European manor, mansion, or estate. It has very nice grounds and a separate tea house. Nice and Clean. Rooms are comfortable. Because it was built in 1832, you cannot expect modern amenities. The A/C is portable (window or wall unit). Some of the heater units are plugged in, (no central HVAC). Our rooms did not have microwaves. They did have refrigerators and a safe. It has free breakfast in a nice room overlooking the courtyard. The food is good. The staff is pleasant and very helpful. Good restaurants close by. Please make reservations so you won't have long wait.

Staff were lovely. There was building across street with 30 foot high lumber structures which blocked any view of the harbour for 5 blocks either way…plus 2 huge cranes. Construction jackhammers from 7am until 7 pm. The room had 2 comfortable beds, but only 2 hard wooden chairs to sit on. There was not one drawer in any dresser or cabinet including the bathroom to store anything, so all toiletries, clothing, medication were on display on the small wooden table, beside the tv, or on the bathroom sink. Soundproofing was not good…..could hear the upstairs tenants walking across the floors any time that they were there. The building in the inner harbour had been ongoing for months…..I think Expedia should have been aware of this and mentioned it in the advertisement……I would never stay there again and will not be using Expedia again as they charged outrageous prices for a substandard room…..Expedia also charged twice as much for parking as the hotel did…..very unhappy, as I usually use them for my annual visits to Paris, but never again.
