I am giving 1 star because the employees of the hotel are kind. As soon as we entered the room there was a dead cockroach on top of the sink. The television did not work at all in the first room and the smell in the hall if you have any type of allergy, do not go. On the second day I went to complain and on our way down the elevator stopped. We talked to the receptionist and she moved us to a different room. The tv in the new room worked, but there was a cockroach running around the room (also caught on video!) and when my daughter took a shower the entire bathroom flooded. We had to ask someone to fix it. It was the first shower in the "new"bathroom. The next day they closed the swimming pool with no previous notice. I am not even going to talk about the food. Very bad food. Not even the French fries. You can see the oil is old. One of the highlights of hotels in Brazil are the breakfast, not in this hotel. No fresh fruits, very low variety of options. I am very glad that we left when we did. A horrible, horrible, experience.

A great place, great atmosphere, excellent service, amazing breakfast buffet

My stay was outstanding! Excellent personnel without exception! Specially Carol at the reception desk. Excellent buffet breakfast with many excellent choices. Elevator is a bit slow, but the reason is that most people use it at the same time. My room was huge, excellent WiFi and cable tv. Mini fridge is not new but it works fine! Planning to go back soon. Most beautiful view in the world and excellent location!

I normally don’t do this but this time I felt the need let people know what a terrible experience this was for my family and I. Where do I begin ? Back story on this place, well I am originally from Salvador and I know this neighborhood very well. This is one of a few upscale areas in the city and I also know this hotel to be known for its cool Concept they have for the restaurant by the water that has been around for decades. But please believe when I say that this was the most horrible experience I had with a hotel, from start to finish this Was a disaster. There is only 1 elevator working in the building ( barely ) even than it makes so many noises my kids were afraid to get on ( myself included ) cleaning I rate a big 0! Bathroom very disgusting and old with many stains . AC very old, so Old we even got a terrible cold after our stay . The gentleman in the front desk in the PM shift was incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful. The only reason why we stayed was because this was only a one night stay and I had paid in advanced. Don’t waste your money .. this place isn’t worth $10 to stay … it’s really that bad .

A localização excelente, perto das praias, ponto turístico, o único inconveniente é que os elevadores precisando trocar, quebrou várias vezes no período que fiquei hospedada. Os funcionários são simpáticos e atenciosos. Pretendo voltar outras vezes.

A great location for families who need a shoreline location with safe swimming. A building not just tired but exhausted, with one working elevator for 24 floors. Some staff incredibly helpful. Breakfast offerings limited & the same each day, designed for local tastes. Amenity limited to aged mini-fridge in room. Safe neighborhood. Took 3 days before I could get a maid to clean the room. Great water pressure in ancient shower, with 3 inch difference between bottom of shower & floor without grip-bar for seniors to assist

Great location. Great pool and deck. Friendly, competent staff. The elevators are a problem. The elevators are frequently out of service.

Place was clean, good location, nice view. However there were no one to carry our luggages upon arrival up to third floor. Breakfast was extremely poor, food cold and not the choices I've made. Light bulb in the room was burnt out all the days we were there.

elevadors didnt work and the internet was down and they offered no explanation and options for me. they said at check out that i would receive a partial refund because i was checking out early. they said it would be up to me and expedia on any money to be refunded. EXPEDIA did not and said they can not do it unless the hotel approves and the hotel approved at check out.

Great location, gorgeous view but the room needs an update.

Simple and price effective.

As soon as we got there they gave us a room where the air conditioning did not work and we only slept that night because we had a 8 hour flight and were exausted. After they moved us to another room the tv did not work and after complaining about it for 4 days we just quite complaining and stayed there the way it was. The only positive things we can say about our stay are the staff and the breakfast. The cost was good also

Hotel needs renovating and modernizing. The beds are old and so are the interior accents.

The hotel was not all that good Location wise there is not much around. The staff was nice and friendly. Next time we would pick a different hotel.

I'm happy and I recommend this hotel. Very good place

Location is very good; right in front of the ocean, it has a pier with a small bar. As long as you get an oceanview room you're good. Not much, or at all, besides the above mentioned. Breakfast is OK only if you get there very early; they take forever in replacing food (if they do) and many items just get cold in display. If you're sensitive and want the staff to smile, this is not your place -maybe 1 out of 10 will. Elevator to the pier wasn't working during the 5 days that I was there... I dindt mind the long stairs but that can be a problem.

Very well located. Horrible services. Room smelled like mildew. WiFi didn't work in room. They charge an expensive charge for in-room Internet but didn't work either. I would never recommend this hotel.

Not good.

This hotel is located on the rocky beach of Salvador, rooms are midium size but very dirty, bathroom very outdated and shower had no hot or warm water, st front desk they can bearly understand a few words in english, breakfast was awfull, the only good side is that it has a dock on the sea where you can go take a bath.
