Good location. Staff very friendly. Room clean and quiet. Breakfast more than adequate.

The reception staff were unhelpful when explaning that there were no towels and no water in the room. Breakfast was reasonable.

I enjoyed my stay here. The location was great and close to many shops and cafes. The room was clean and worked well for my needs. The bathroom was a touch dated, however it was more than suitable. The staff were friendly and assisted me with laundry services which was absolutely clutch for only traveling with a carry on for several weeks.

The hotel is aged but the furniture and care is quite well. It was a comfortable stay. The biggest problems are floor creaks (expected) and in my room corridor light was visible from sides of the door which was not ideal.

For a first time trip to Rotterdam, we were very pleased with Hotel Van Walsum. The neighborhood is quiet but has restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and very helpful. Our room included breakfast which was very good.

We had an outstanding stay at Van Walsum. The staff were friendly and attentive and we loved our room and the location. Super easy to find transport. The buffet breakfast was tasty and offered gluten free and lactose free options.

We stayed in a spacious triple room with high ceilings and lovely decor. The staff were excellent and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay here again. Easy walk to sights and food.

We stayed on the first floor with a room that had a door opening to a terrace area. Absolutely beautiful. Room was clean, bathroom was spotless. Didn’t have air conditioning, but the night cool down (we stayed in August) made for a comfortable stay. Location was excellent!

What a lovely little Rotterdam secret! This hotel is run by the third generation of family, and they pay attention…. to you. Hospitable and warm, it is clean quiet and centrally located in walking distance to everything! The smell of fresh baked croissants in the morning and their lovely breakfast are the way each day starts in this pleasant hotel. Excellent value!

Our room was so lovely and quaint and the staff were very friendly. Driving in Rotterdam for the first time was quite the experience! We were glad they had parking available.

Very friendly, intelligent and hospitable staff and owners who go above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable stay. Good location, walkable from Rotterdam central station but also only a few steps away from the tram stop which goes directly to the station. Quiet location with lots of restaurant options around. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though I asked a stupid question about why I needed the elevators to get to my room on the first floor (in North America first floor = ground floor), the receptionist was patient in explaining to me. They also helped answer questions about transportation around the city. It’s a great value property.
