The staff was very warm, welcoming and professional. The room and facilities are very nice, but we had a few issues with plumbing fixture in the bathroom and water pressure. Other than those issues, everything was excellent. Rooms were maintained well during visit. The hotel restaurants (Jardin and 1612) and bar onsite were excellent. Great stay overall and I do recommend.

The facilities are nice and well-maintained. The rooms are comfortable, but for the price—twice that of similar hotels—they are basic. We were disappointed with the VIP service for Hotels.com, as we were assigned one of only three or four rooms in the entire hotel without a balcony.

I would recommend this hotel over and over again. It was my first time in Cartagena and at this hotel, we had an amazing stay. The location was unbelievable. We felt very safe at all time. The hotel itself was remarkable. I’ve traveled a lot in my time and I have to say this is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever been to.. it was exactly what I was looking for. The staff was amazing, very welcoming and professional. Our rooms were beautiful!! I love that you could be out in the city walking around and come back to your sanctuary of a stunning, relaxing hotel! The restaurants at the hotel were outstanding!!!!!

The service and attention to detail by the staff was impeccable. My hats off to all of the employees of the hotel, they are awesome! It’s in a great location in the walled city that allows easy access, within a 10 minute walk, to all of the nightlife that Cartagena has to offer (we walked to and from the various bars and nightlife every night and felt very safe). There are hotel staff manning the entrance to the hotel at all hours. The hotel is also literally surrounded by local restaurants. Great pool, with a great pool bar. Great hotel restaurant! Huge shout out to the hotel bartenders! We had a group of 20 and they were awesome and didn’t miss a beat! I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the walled city. The room prices are premium, but for good reason.

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had!! From the front door to your room service and hospitality is 10/10! I highly recommend this hotel.

I can't say enough wonderful things anout this wonderful property! There are bars and a restaurant and a little bit of shopping all located within the hotel. Not to mention there are a number of small markets just steps away. The staff was super friendly and helpful!. I stayed here 4 fantastic days and not one bad experience. I can't wait for my next stay here!

Santa Clara is a classic hotel in Cartagena. Excellent location, you are able to walk everywhere in the old city. Staff was awesome and very welcoming. Definitely I am coming back!

They really take care of you at this hotel from hot towels and a welcome beverage to an easy ride to the airport. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful and most of them bilingual. The property is stunning and well taken care of, and it’s close to everything in Cartagena. Pool is very nice, food is absolutely incredible, and the beds are comfy. Stay here!

We really enjoyed our Easter 2025 weekend in Cartagena. The hotel was spot on. I.m happy we selected this Hotel. Besides service and dining options what really intrigued me was the architecture of building a modern hotel within the walls of a monastery from 1621. Excellent example of creating a new experience with respect to the old History of the walled city of Cartagena.
