The Hotel Borg rooms were lovely and the hotel itself was charming. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the amenities wonderful. Hotel is centrally located in downtown Reykjavik close to everything. The hotel staff was hit or miss. Some reception agents were lovely others were cool and less helpful.

We stayed 3 nights. The location is the best in the city. Breakfast is wonderful. Staff is very helpful and they make you feel welcome, highlights to Tony at the front desk, Maida at the restaurant and the Argentinian girl :). All 3 went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Rooms are great. Definitely recommend.

Love the character. As Classic Icelander urban as you'll ever find. Parking is difficult. No parking around.

The room was spacious, clean and perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was excellent, with a good range and some local options. They also provided us with a breakfast-to-go on the day we checked out as we had to leave before breakfast was available. We intend to revisit Iceland at some point and will definitely be using this hotel again.

It was a good place to stay but everything is extra! Be aware! it’s not clear in Expedia that the spa amenities are extra.

Wonderful stay at the Borg Hotel! The location is perfect—central and walkable to everything in Reykjavík. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. Highly recommend for a stylish and relaxing stay in Iceland!

Great experience

It was a very comfortable place to explore Reykjavik from. The breakfast was very good, the city was at the door step.

They never mentioned repairs taking place near my room so I had the pleasure of being awaked by noise of drilling etc. No apologies or acknowledgement of the inconvenience. Room was depressing and dreary overlooking vent systems and ugly back alley. They said that is where their single rooms are located No option to upgrade although I was willing to pay. I never located the minibar that was allegedly in the room. On first day I arrived at breakfast an hour before service ended to find hot food containers empty. Staff was annoyed that I asked them to replenish the eggs. She said it will take a while and I waited for 20 minutes for them to scramble some eggs. Overall a dismal and disappointing stay. Never again!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating and made us feel welcome as soon as we walked into the hotel. Our room was beautifully appointed, with a towel warmer, full size hair dryer, a sumptuous comforter, rain shower, and even a dedicated make-up mirror. We were extremely pleased with our stay.

Excellent location, great staff service. Would not hesitate to book again.
