After breaking down on the autoroute, our not so great insurance company organised us to stay the night here. The hotel is spotless, the rooms very comfortable and the food and drink was as it should be. The reason I am leaving a review is because I was so impressed by the helpfulness of 'all' the staff. We had a hell of a lot of problems with the insurance company and the staff went out of their way to help and translate for us, spending many hours on the phone and even driving us to the car rental place. I can't recommend this hotel enough and can't thank the staff enough for all their help. Thank you all, you saved our lives... Regards, Andy

This place is an oasis in the middle of nowhere, which I happened to visit during my business trip in UTC. Based on my client's comment, this neighborhood is actually not too safe. The hotel is decorated in a modern way. People there were very friendly and hospitable considering I couldn't speak french. Biggest drawback is the lack of elevator. It was no fun to carry my 14kg tool case up and down 3 flights of stairs. Food was not too bad, and was placed on the plate in a very artistic way. However the fish had a strong ammonia taste. And I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use this kind of plate, which brings down the temperature of food quite fast. Fries was a bit soggy but I happened to like it this way. Room was cosy. But the heater or pipe was making an irregular low vibration sound which really could severely affect a light sleeper. I'm a deep sleeper had to run white noise all night in order to fall asleep. Bathroom feels a bit cheap. The panels around bathtub is plastic-ish, and a part of floor looked dark (probably mold, because water splashed in that direction during shower) But a bathtub is a bathtub, so I have nothing to complain about. Hotel is close to a big supermarket with a backers, which is definitely the plus point. Location is close to UTC and bus stations.

We stayed at three Ibis hotels on our French road trip. This was the best for comfort, convenience (only a 4 hour final drive to Calais), value & their breakfast was good too.

The hotel is old and very tired. The mattress was awful, the pillow worse, yet all paled in comparison to the shower that mostly sprayed water sideways instead of onto me. There are no facilities in the room, we couldn't even have a cup of water without being charged €3.50 for the privilege. None of this I would mind but we had a reduced rate of €66 for the room, if it was €30 standard price I could overlook the problems, I've stayed in €30 rooms that were better. Maybe if the place wasn't heated like Hades loft space in high summer they could afford a few niceties, like being able to make a drink in the room. I will definitely avoid on future business trips.

It's not like writing "the service was nice". The people here are simple top class. The ambiance of the Ibis hotel as a "music house" was simply great. With great attention to detail.
