The staff were cordial, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The overall location was very convenient.

Location was great for all historic sites. Clean, updated room. Nice and extremely helpful staff. Met owner and son and they went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. Definitely check out Magnolia Street behind the hotel and enjoy the peacocks. Definitely would recommend and will be staying again. Pool was maintained and warm.

Very hospitable staff!!!

Rooms were clean, associates nice, breakfast acceptable. The pictures online were very outdated, no loungers by the pool, courtyard had old broken chairs and scattered around. Very dated, BUT the trolly does stop right at the hotel so that is a huge plus if you don’t want to drive!

We were given a room, pullled back the sheets to find hair and filth as if the sheets had not been washed, the floors were dirty and the room smelled of mildew, we called and asked were given a second room and walked In same thing, filthy floors, shower had grime on the walls and floors, we pulled back the sheets and found a false eyelash strip stuck to the blankets. Needless to say I highly DO NOT recommend and you couldn’t pay me to stay here again. Shame to call it a hotel, it’s a very low quality motel.

I wouldn’t allow a dog to stay here. They wouldn’t even give a refund!! The pictures are a lie!!! Roach coach

Great place, great price…really in the heart if St. Augustine and walkable to all the major sites- BONUS- there are some very friendly peacocks in the neighborhood who are happy to take a photo op! It checked all the boxes..clean and hospitable staff, with a protein breakfast bar.

Do not recommend…It wasn’t a nice experience, it’s more like a motel. Booked and paid for a Deluxe room with a not function TV, bath shower curtains were cut off at bottom, dirty floors and a heavy smell of cleaning products all the time. Property overall in poor conditions.

I instantly regretted booking upon arriving. The property it's self is very old and rundown. Our room had a strong smell as soon as you walk in. My kids both said "what's that smell?" It was like the smell of a dirty wet dog. The bed sheets had weird dark stains that did not come out in the wash. The bathroom door was a sliding door that did not remain shut unless you propped it up against a piece of wood. My kids tried watching the t.v. but kept getting static on the t.v. guide. I had to scroll through and click on each individual channel to find some cartoons. My husband was disgusted when he found a roach. We did not even bother to taste the breakfast. My kids went to the pool that was also very rundown. The older man that restocks the towels kept walking over to stare at them. Very creepy. There were two homeless people sleeping in the chairs under the tree and out front near the office. The only good thing about this place was the location and the trolley stops there. Best of all the two Caribbean women who work the front desk were absolutely delightful. I would give this hotel 1 star and would not recommend to anyone.

This was our second stay and planning on staying again on our way back south. The rooms are clean, a good breakfast and the staff is friendly. We were in a room right by the road and couldn't hear a thing. Great hotel

Central location of motel is perfect for vacation

This room was completely unacceptable. The walls were dirty. The door was not secure. It actually had a rusty chain lock. When we pulled back the blankets, the sheets were filthy. I disnt even want to set down my belongings in this room. Disgusting!

An excellent location, very clean, beautiful property with an old oak tree. Spacefull room, an attentive front desk. Greatly recommend this hotel to my friends and family

Unfortunately, my wife found a roach in one of our towels and inadvertently ripped the towel rack off the wall. We reported it to the front desk but nothing was really done to rectify it other than the maid dropping off some more towels.

Rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. Liked that the oldest tree in Florida is on the property and is one of the stops on the trolley. Downside was the peacocks on the grounds of the Fountain of Youth were loud most of the night.
