Stayed for 4days/3nights this September 19-22, 2026 Decent king sized room. AC was good but no heater. Mini fridge in room. Coffee machine was available in room but the water chamber was not properly cleaned- so did not use. Room was clean upon arrival. Just the tub is pooling and not draining properly while showering. Staff were very helpful. Coming from parking from Scotia Square to the hotel was a bit of a walk and since we arrived late night from the airport, the elevator was locked from 9pm-7am. Staff was able to contact security and they were able to let us use the elevator as we had 2big luggages and they wont fit on the escalators. FYI, better to drop off your luggages first into the lobby if u arrive after 9pm, then park after. Otherwise, it was a good stay. Location really good as it’s in Downtown and the buses are just across the street from the hotel. Will actually recommend to stay here if u just need a decent and clean place to stay. Will come back when going to Downtown Halifax again. Thank you!

STRONGLY RECOMMEND HOUSEKEEPING TEAM MUST REVIEW THEIR WORK PROCESSES. Front desk provided us great services. We arrived before 12noon, way earlier than official check in time but they still allow us to check in immediately when they have a room available. The king sized bedroom they offers us has a little bit of sea view and we could watch a little bit of fireworks, surprise! However, the facility is old and dirty. I have prepared myself by reading the google reviews before living in here. The reviews are terrible such as the couch is too dirty to seat on, there is hair on the bed, lamp not working, dusty a/c not working…… the google reviews are accurate, I have experienced all the exact same terrible services. The lamp is so old and covering with dirt that i thought it just being dig out by archaeologist. Overall this hotel has great location, good customer service, did not ruin our trip but I will never book this again. I would pay more for a better hotel or just save my budget to live in a hostel.

Don’t waste your money here. The photos online are NOT accurate. The lobby is the only nice room in the hotel. Everything else looks like it hasn’t been updated or cleaned since the 90s. The pool was dirty and the water was murky. The change rooms were filthy. We tried every ice machine in the hotel - all were broken. The air conditioning is ancient and barely works. The beds were comfortable but when they were updated to queen sized the hotel didn’t even bother to get a head board for a queen mattress. All the furniture in the hotel is dirty and feels like it’s from the early 90s. Last but not least - parking. They don’t have parking on site so you have to park across the street in a parking garage that costs you $28 per day. The hotel will “validate” the parking ticket for you to come and go unlimited times but they won’t cover the cost like every other hotel would so they add it to your bill. I would not stay here again.

This hotel is extremely outdated and dirty. The carpets were heavily stained throughout both the hallways and the rooms. I had to switch rooms because the bathroom floor in my first room was covered in what looked like pubic hair, which was disgusting. The staff were very accommodating when I brought it to their attention. They immediately inspected the room and moved me to another one. Unfortunately, the second room still didn’t feel particularly clean, although there was no visible hair or soiling. The walls are paper-thin, the vents are filthy, and the shower was moldy. Even the elevator doors looked as though they hadn’t been cleaned in years. The furniture was old, worn and dirty, and everything looked like it had been randomly thrifted rather than properly maintained. The location is convenient because it’s downtown and close to everything. However, as a woman travelling alone, I felt very unsafe having to park in a garage so far from the hotel and then walk approximately 15 minutes back by myself. The helpful staff were the only positive part of my experience. This hotel is in serious need of a deep cleaning and a complete renovation.

Excellent location near the bus stop for the airport, and a few minutes walk from both the waterfront area and the citadel. You'll need a cab to get to the Via Rail terminal. Other than that this is really just a functional three star hotel. The bedroom and bathroom was spacious and that's all there really to say about it! The bedroom furniture was strangely old and tatty, in otherwise perfectly decent hotel. The restaurant attached, Tempo, is very good with very friendly service; the cooked breakfast was excellent.
