This hotel seriously misrepresents what it offers . I would strongly advise avoiding it. Firstly, the shuttle bus is not included, despite how it may appear when booking. It costs £4 each way, which is an added expense not made sufficiently clear. In addition, the shuttle only collects from Terminal 2. It does not pick up from Terminal 1, which requires a long walk, something that is not clearly advertised. Parking was also unnecessarily complicated. It is not obvious how to add parking within the Marriott app, so I had to email separately to arrange this. I was told via email that it had been added to my booking. However, upon arrival, I was told by front desk staff that I had not added parking and was asked to provide proof, in a manner that implied I was being dishonest. I immediately produced the email confirmation, yet the attitude from staff remained rude and confrontational. The experience at reception was extremely uncomfortable. The executive room is also not worth the additional cost. These rooms are located far from the lobby and close to the motorway, making them noticeably noisy. The executive lounge is poorly explained in its advertising, food and drinks are only available at limited hours, which did not align with when I needed access. The options are poor with cold options of cheese, pate and crackers and small plates of dry macaroni cheese. I had to leave and order room service. When open with these options for alcohol and food, the lounge becomes overcrowded and clearly cannot cope with the number of guests, making it an unpleasant experience, loud and overcrowded. During my stay, I emailed to raise my concerns and initially received no response. I then had to submit a formal complaint after my stay. The reply I eventually received contained several factual inaccuracies and attempted to dismiss my concerns as “personal issues,” rather than acknowledging the clear failings in customer service. The standard of customer care at management level was particularly disappointing. Overall, this hotel does not deliver what it advertises, and the level of service falls far below what you would expect. I would not recommend staying here.

Had an amazing stay at the hotel. Amazing staff. The room is well equipped. Lovely restaurants onsite, one French and one Italian. Food is amazing, food is very well presented. The Spa is lovely, a great swimming pool available with a steam room and sauna. The transfer bus to the airport is amazing, running every 25 minutes. Thank you for everyone involved. Also a conference centre available. Will visit again! Many thanks.

Very nice. Good breakfast. Some may argue pricey at £17 but the quality is excellent. For example, the bacon was thickly sliced and perfectly cooked with very little fat. Someone has made an effort to find good sources. Plenty of options if you want vegan, cereals or fruit. They even have 'proper' Yorkshire tea bags!! Now we're talking!!

⭐ 1 Star – Avoid at All Costs Absolutely shocking experience. The parking is a complete mess — nowhere near enough spaces for hotel guests, yet they are more than happy to issue fines. It is obvious that parking is sold to airport travellers, with no priority given to paying hotel guests. Parking bays were blocked off with no explanation, leaving guests driving around with nowhere to park. Reception staff were completely clueless and unwilling to help, repeatedly saying “there’s nothing we can do” and offering zero solutions. That response is unacceptable — the contract with the parking company is between the hotel and the third party, not the guest, yet guests are left to deal with the consequences. We are staying for three days and travelling with children, yet there was no consideration, no flexibility, and no support whatsoever. The facilities are poor, the organisation is chaotic, and the customer service is non-existent. To make matters worse, councils typically charge £30/£60, yet this Marriott group hotel allows guest parking fines of £60/£100, clearly profiting at the expense of its own guests. This hotel is badly run from top to bottom and does not deserve your money. Do not stay here.
