I was told by front desk 07/31 by morning crew if you stay only 3 days, your room, bed sheets and towels can be changed only 1 time. Why is the Ice machine only on 2nd & 3rd floor, not the 1st floor. Never will I stay there again and will warn on my social media not to stay at the LaQuinta Inn /Suites in Gurnee, IL for Six Flag vacation.

The room was clean and staff was pleasant. However, the property could use some attention. Outside lights were not fully lit, garbage around the outside, broken posts, pool sported dead plants and heavy chlorine smell, the room had a broken picture frame, unfinished trim, window had seal failure, the bathroom tub was at an angle making it very slippery and tub did not drain properly. There was easy access to the elevator from the public. Perhaps most annoying was the sign in the room that stated that "we count towels and missing towels will have a ten dollar charge" I understand that you need to charge, but please do not assume that I'm going to take something. We probably would have switched hotels, but we were there for my father-in-laws funeral and found it too stressful to change rooms in the midst of everything else. Attention to detail could have made this a much better stay!

The check in staff was very helpful. The room on the other hand was subpar. There were bugs in the bathroom. Check out was not until 11 but I had housekeeping/maintenance banging on my door since 8 am

I didn’t like the fact that I had booked a room through Expedia which was fine. I had a problem durning my traveling I called the hotel to let them know what was going on.and that I was running behind time he young man told me it was fine as long as I made it by 3:am well I got there about 7:30 and he said my room was canceled. My phone died so I had to go to my car to charge it he said no worries he would hold the room for me I get back inside again no room he said he could no longer hold it. So I had to reserve another room way more money than I had reservation for. When I finally got enough money together I went back to the desk he said he had no more rooms available. My daughter got on one of the sites and booked me a room. Took my things to the room and came back downstairs people are coming in with no reservation booking a room I’m listening to the conversation when the guy asked was there any rooms available the guy behind the desk said yes. But he didn’t have a room for me a few more people came in with no reservation and was able to book a room then my eyes were open they were his own race. I am a different race so that’s why I had a hard time getting a room my Granddaughter was graduating from navy boot camp on the next morning but if I didn’t have such a hard time getting there I would have left to find another hotel. My feelings were hurt but I never got disrespectful to the young man. I just hate to see and know that that type of behavior still exist.

You have to request room service. They count towels and charge $10 per missing towel. Breakfast is a slim continental breakfast. The pictures look much better than the actual place. The employees were really nice though.

My room was quiet and clean. The service I received was lacking. You ran out of coffee and/or creamer 3 days in a row out of 4 of my days. You ran out of pancake batter at 850 and refused to get us more when asked. My kids were still hungry. I was looking for a luggage cart while checking out in lobby. Was told to ‘go find one’ by the front desk attendant.

We asked for clean towels 2 days in a room and when i got back in the evening i had to ask for them light fixtures above tub was leaking water fridge froze our food we had to throw all away i told the front desk about this both times and they did nothing but offer a 20% discount place was not very clean at all

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend. While the location was convenient and the room itself was comfortable, I had a disappointing experience regarding a personal item that went missing. I accidentally left behind a pair of shoes, and when I contacted the front desk shortly after checking out, I was told nothing had been turned in. I understand that lost items are not always guaranteed to be recovered, but the lack of follow-up or accountability from staff was frustrating. I expected more effort or concern, especially since the shoes were left in the room—not in a public area. Unfortunately, this experience has made me question the hotel’s lost and found procedures and overall guest care. I hope they take this seriously and improve how they handle guests’ personal belongings in the future.

The guest service was nice enough, but my room had a red stain that to be appears to be blood marking on the carpet. And the walls and countertops were not wiped efficiently, I had to wipe down everything luckily I brought some products of my own.
