staff were friendly. the room was comfortable and clean. the breakfast was adequate.

We traveled to Montreal in record heat, and when one of our original room's air conditioning was incapacitated they graciously booked us into another property, no fuss. A great location, lovely property, ans helpful staff. Thank you!

Boutique hotel was lovely. It's location near Metro and outside of the busy downtown was super.

The staff was excellent. The continental breakfast was delicious.. The hotel needs a little refresh.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Château Versailles. The hotel has a charming, elegant atmosphere with beautiful classic décor that made our stay feel special. The staff was warm, friendly, and always willing to help. We also appreciated the excellent location, which made it easy to explore Montréal's attractions, restaurants, and shops. If you're looking for a cozy boutique hotel with character and outstanding service, Château Versailles is a wonderful choice. We would be happy to stay here again on our next visit to Montréal.

While I loved the charm and European feel of this botique hotel, my husband disliked the noise from the busy street traffic and the other rooms. We could hear everything through the thin walls. We also couldn't lower the temperature of the room which was necessary due to the heat wave. The front desk person was not interested in moving us, or even listening to our complaints. I know there were other people complaining as well, since every time we were leaving we overheard different problems. I know it is a busy season, but sometimes just apologising or commiserating goes a long way. Breakfast is a 10/10!

We stayed for 3 days at chateau Versailles and first day we had the horrible experience. The room had water heater issues and plumber closed the line and we were told to shift the floor above where the Ac was not working . As they didn’t give us much options we stayed in a room where the toilet couldn’t be used in the night. We were told to use the room above for the washroom purpose in the night which is not a convenient option for anyone. Second day they gave us a good room which eased the discomfort to some extent. Hope they fix these maintenance problems regularly so they don’t cause any inconvenience to the customers

Did the job, clean sheets and a comfy bed. Location good and staff friendly.

On arrival we were informed there was no valet parking available. We booked this property for this reason. Instead we were handed an address to drive the car to public parking. We were very upset at this and it added strain on finding this place. Then having to download an app to then pay for the parking all added upset to our arrival. Breakfast was ok but no organisation leading to not being able to obtain a table we had to eat our in reception area. Not good at all. Room was ok clean and modern i had no Hair dryer in the room. But another issue was no air con working! In the high 29' degrees it was needed. Again another reason for booking this property was air con i the rooms. We did get a fan after a couple of requests. Overall not the best stay with you. Our family asked for maintenance but nothing was done. A shame really.

Good hotel in reasonable location to explore the city. Room was in need of some TLC and breakfast was nice but sparse.

The room was very clean with a nice bathroom but otherwise dated with a carpet that needs changing and old furniture. The room was good sized. Breakfast was very limited. No scrambled eggs, only hard boiled option. No pancakes, waffles or cake. No veggies. Options were basically cereal, bagel, bread, ham, cheese, marmalade, preserved fruit salad and croissants. I would have loved some tomato, lettuce or mushrooms to add to the bagel. All in all it was a decent stay but don't expect anything more.

Staff was approachable & helpful. The room’s clean. Free breakfast.

On the positive side: the staff was wonderful, the hotel is ideally located and the bed very comfortable. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. What could be improved? The breakfast was very basic: a few pastries, cereals, bagels, hard boiled eggs and canned fruits. There is no elevators and require you to be able to climb steps, even to check-in. I could hear my neighbors talk but thankfully everyone was quiet during the night.

The place is dated and dirty. The tub and tile surround were gross, the walls were dirty and had scratch marks revealing the old red paint under the grey. The bed was lumpy and had voids/holes in it so sleeping was grossly uncomfortable. The room arrangement had no thought to guest need. We moved a bureau to access a plug to use the iron provided and the table top ironing board. There were no hooks in the bathroom and a 6 inch landing area along the mirror to perch items and clothes. Then there was the grinding humming noise of some air handler outside our room that went on and off every 10 minutes. Nowhere near the value for what they charged. I’m not even going to describe the breakfast. Too many other places around that I’m sure could do better with very little effort. Keep looking.

THERE WAS NO RETRO-FITTING OR UPDATING OF AC/HEAT IN ROOM AND IT WAS NOISY ALL NIGHT LONG. CARPET HAD NOTICEABLE STAINS. SOME DISREPAIR ON CEILING. REFRIGERATOR WAS MINIMAL TO NOT USEFUL AS DID NOT GET COLD ENOUGH. OUTLETS NOT WELL FITTED FOR CURRENT TECHNOLOGY NEEDS. POOR SPACE IN BATHROOM FOR TOILETRIES, ETC. CAR RETURNED DAMAGED FROM VALET OFF-SITE PARKING TO DRIVERS DOOR. I DON'T THINK IT WAS VALET THOUGH AM CERTAIN OFF SITE PARKING WAS TOO THIN TO REALLY ALLOW FOR OPENING OF DOORS. I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. MAYBE EACH OF THE OLDER/VINTAGE HOTELS ARE LIKE THIS THROUGH MONTREAL.

It was a lovely building. I had to check out early as I could not manage the stairs and now working to unravel the charges. I was charged for seven nights and I only stayed three nights. Very difficult to handle.

Great location, short walk to Concordia, Fine Arts Museum & McGill. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Lovely bedding.
