Nice location, Pretty room but NO AIR CON im a heatwave? was given one fan and a small personal fan for night table that did not work…we were in agony…opening the garden level window was no good- insects. The breakfast was great and they staff tired…but felt like no one was really in charge. A shame…has potential to be a stellar property, but seemed off the mark to us.

The hotel and room were very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the food options were abundant and well sourced. We had an afternoon tea which was delicious and good value for money. Unfortunately we stayed during another heatwave, the only negative about the whole stay was the heat in the room, a fan was provided but the window was secured and could only be opened a little. There were rooms (lounges, bars) downstairs which were cooler and plenty of loungers and seating outside which were well maintained. A very friendly and comfortable stay and would definitely book again.

We had a beautiful view over the estuary from our comfortable room. Very clean bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely garden with seating and river views.

The hotel is in a great location. Close enough to the town for it to be an easy walk but far enough away. Reception service was cheerful and efficient. Our room was lovely. We did stay during the June 2026 heatwave and our room was very hot and could not be cooled. No a/c in the hotel at all. I am sure that this would not normally be a problem. We thought that the service at the bar/restaurant was a bit patchy/slow and that seemed to be a shared experience. The hotel was scrupulously clean.

It was a great experience for a solo traveller who wanted to park her car in a hotel and leave it there til she left giving plenty of time to potter round Padstow. Beautiful hotel, a luxurious treat.

Downstairs room a bit noisy late evening and early morning due to restaurant above.

Overall I had a very nice stay. I was however, disappointed on the first night, which was my birthday not to be able to book a room in the restaurant due to a wedding taking place. It would have been nice to have been made aware of this beforehand. Just be prepared to pre book the restaurant.

We had booked two rooms at this hotel. The one we stayed in had a really overpowering sewage smell coming from the bathroom, which would be ‘covered up’ with a lot of air fresheners after house cleaning. I complained about it to staff and nothing was changed, with staff not mentioning it again. The other room was fine, and, besides the smell, both rooms were clean and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was good, though the complimentary breakfast has very few options (they really want you to upgrade for a paid cooked breakfast). The staff were lovely and hard working, I just wished they had at least helped me understand what was going on with the smell in the bedroom.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay at the Harbour Hotel; reception staff were friendly and informative as were the bar staff. The estuary room we had was nice, with every amenity we needed, including a free gin (would have been even better if the tonic was free). Perfectly located to walk into town and lovely views of the river from the restaurant / bar. Breakfast was good, although there is a £10 charge for cooked options.

Very friendly staff, ideal location, pet friendly. Food was excellent and dog was allowed in breakfast room for dinner.
