Outstanding staff with great personalities throughout the hotel. Willing to help and made our stay extremely enjoyable. Collectively, probably the best hotel staff I have had the pleasure to meet. The hotel was clean, comfortable and had all the facilities you could need. Had a lovely swim and used the steam room, that was enjoyable. Enjoyed our 2 course meal and after dinner drinks. The only downside is the continuation of the franchise to charge for parking. The room was well presented, clean and comfortable. Have stayed in its sister hotel in Wolvercote and this was the reason I booked for our group of 4, as that was a great experience also. I recommend both hotels and woukd definitely stay again.

Superior room was decent, but hugely let down by lack of A/C.

I had a lovely stay, I travelled alone and felt very safe. The pool was lovely. Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food. Be aware that there is a parking charge of £7 per 24 hours. Not a problem but I don’t recall it being mentioned during the booking process.

Clean good sized room. Unfortunately no air con but fan supplied. Good choice at breakfast and plenty of parking but you do have to pay which always irks me at any hotel.

Pool and spa area were good. Not the hotels fault but we visited during the heatwave and the second floor room was unbearably hot, the window barely opened and the fans were ineffective

There was no air conditioning. Staff weren't helpful and some rolled their eyes when asked something. Hot water dispenser for tea was dangerous. You had to hold button for 10 seconds to wait for hot water to come through then it splashes you.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing overall. Check-in was extremely slow, with each guest taking around 10 minutes to be assigned a room. On arrival, our room was unbearably hot due to the lack of air conditioning and restricted window opening. The I appreciate that the hotel can't control the weather, and the staff did kindly agree to move us to another room on the other side of the hotel where it would be cooler. However, despite being told rooms were available, we then waited around 20 minutes at reception with very little communication before being assigned a new room. Combined with the initial check-in, it was almost an hour after arriving before we were finally settled, so future guests may want to factor this into their plans. The replacement room was still very warm, and the fan provided unfortunately didn't work, but this was replaced with another by reception after a phone call down. We also found it disappointing that parking costs an additional £7 per day, even for hotel guests. Breakfast was okay, and the pool facilities were good. There also appeared to be confusion with taxi bookings at reception, with several guests left waiting without transport. Overall, while there were some positives, the experience means we probably won't choose a Leonardo Hotel again.

Situated on the ground floor during a heatwave wasn’t great. We were left wondering if all the rooms in the hotel were full and perhaps they could have located us in a room with a window that opened. The young man who served us for the evening meal was very attentive and very polite which was nice to see. Not so the staff at breakfast.

Went during Bank holiday. I booked a room with double and single. Got bumped off which was very annoying. There is not air-conditioning and rooms can get very hot. Staff were generally good especially Matt. Breakfast was average

At 06:30 each morning, individuals in other rooms would use the shower. The pipes proceeded to scream and hiss making it impossible to sleep past this time. I got to reception and it took about 20 minutes to check in with more computer clicks than I could count. I was told the room had not been paid for and now I need to check my bank to see if I have been charged twice. Breakfast was poor, the "hot" water for the tea was tepid at best, cheap sausages, over cooked bacon and scrambled egg with more milk than egg. The only pleasant member of staff was the cleaner. Won't be going here again and won't use hotels.com to book either!
